thanks, tomorrow if I have time at work I'll see if I can't pick up a 4l80e, and order a ACDelco EP381 fuel pump so the fuel tank will be complete on inside then a coat of rattle can black on the outside

I didn't bother painting the timing cover and oil pan since I'll be installing a cam and will be installing a shallower oil pan

And so the snowball begins.

It's better to do it now, or it will bug you from now on. Take your time. As good a job as you have done on the truck so far it should turn out great.

oh I no I been wanting to it 4 years since I noticed the frame was hacked and nothing lines up and also when I patched the floors I used lmc lay over floor pans over the rusty floors so I will be cutting those panels out with new pans, the lower cowl panel has a little rust and when the past owner shorted the frame he curled up the rear brake lines so I plan on installing all new brake lines.

I have true dual header header back exhaust with 2 1/4 pipe that ends behind the rear tires with flow master 40 series, I would like to go with 3" with x pipe and flow master 10 series. For wheels if you have the right back spacing and a little trimming you can fit a 11" wheel, and the drop is a 5-7

If your looking for a good convertor circle d's are great.

flamingbig10 08-28-2010 01:14 PM

Re: my 80 build

Ive heard good things about the circle d's the price isn't to bad either compared to the other well known converter companies

breeze85cten 08-29-2010 01:08 AM

Re: my 80 build

I bought a circle d not too long ago for my set up. I have a 4.8l with a big cam and alot of extras but havnt got far enough to start her up but I did my research and circle d is just as good or better then the rest.

bakerboys 09-03-2010 08:21 PM

Re: my 80 build

just to be clear backspacing for front and rear is 4.125 right

flamingbig10 09-03-2010 11:37 PM

Re: my 80 build

yes but the sad thing is cragar doesn't make these wheels any more but summit racing still sells them is 15x12s and 15x14s though
