Re: AD Truck Project
Looks like I need to make some room out in the shed and bring a motor stand home.
I looked out in the garage, and I did not dream. I did tack the crossmember on lol. |

I bolted a fender and the core support on to get an idea where the suspension would set in the fender. The lower arm is sorta on, as well as he spindle. I just set the rotor on to look at it. I would get a pic from farther back but that require tearing down a wall of my garage. lol With this crossmember the front will set a bit higher. One neat thing about that, is I will not have to cut the inner fender. At most I would just need to fill the hole where the stock steering box would have been. |
Re: AD Truck Project
I have a small parts update. Scott's Hotrods had bags on sale, so I ordered some ss6's after talking to Jon. Slowly but surely... lol.
Next on the buy list are 5 on 4 3/4 pattern rotors from Parr, since it is about 10 minutes away, and I need the cross shaft bolts for the upper control arms. |

Re: AD Truck Project
I have been thinking this afternoon and I think I will just use the 5on5 rotors for mock up purposes and so I can hopefully make the front end mobile in the next few months.

I have some 5X5 rotors for you if you want them. Still have the 305 heads/block if you want them too. Let me know. |
Re: AD Truck Project
I have some 5on5 rotors already. I tried to find a rearend narrow enough to do 5on5 on the back without redrilling but no luck.
Ive got a motor to get from Scott too. I just have no way of unloading it after I get home. |

Re: AD Truck Project
Nothing new to really report on my project. A few weeks ago I did work with some clr, water, and scotch brite and cleaned up some surface rust on the driver side door and on the hood. Since we have had snow lately, here is a pic of my 4 door snow plow.

It has been doing better than many stock height trucks and suv's I have seen.

Re: AD Truck Project
Yeah, it was pushing quite a bit. Tuesday and Wednesday I worked from home, so I did not have to mess with it.

Did you get new wheels on the crew? I didn't remember those being on there.
