Hey Rex, on your wrangler tank.. does your fuel gauge work fine with it? are you just using the pressure and return with the others blocked off? Thanks

Yep, just gonna block of the extras and the fuel gauge works but I think we did adjust the float to reach the bottom.

I did some test fitting today because I needed to see about hiding some wires and if the Captainfab brake booster bracket was going to work with my column.

I took some pics so I could reference them later, thought you might want to see them.

I still have a lot of touching up to do and some rewiring but so far it seems the wires are going to be hid pretty well.

Well, I got the bracket and booster painted and re-mounted

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...rew/003-12.jpg

I also put her back on the ground so I could look at the clearance. I have around 5 in of room but I have these old tires are 29 in so my clearance will be and inch or two lower.

I really need to decide on the wheels, I keep going back and forth on 18's and 20's. I am actually sick of trying to figure it out, but I have the doors and fenders wet sanded and they will be painted soon so it is time to decide!!!

Tires are cheaper and much more common for 20s

The booster looks right at home on the firewall.
I'm with Mike the 20s seem to have a much wider selection than 18s.
That has to be your decision though.

Sounds like good progress on the body panels. You are so close.....:chevy:

Yeah, I noticed that... I gotta say I like the way the 20's fill the fender, but running 4" of sidewall is something I have never done before and honestly I wonder if it will affect ride quality.

Thanks! The radiator is from Speedway, I got it for around $150 if I remember correctly and that included shipping.

Put in the speaker enclosures. I decided to wait on a speaker box behind the seat and utilize the space for storage for now, the bolt holes for the gas tank stuck out pretty bad so I had a piece of metal bent to cover them.

i just read the entire thread. Very nice truck and very informative. I can't wait to see what's next.

I was debating on shortening my truck from a long bed step to a short wide, as I going to talk to a guy tomorrow about a short bed donor soon. I've been eying it for a little bit.

I'm digging the red too.

Oh, and as far as driving in KC. If you ever go up again, hit me up. I just moved from there in Nov., I can give you some round about ways so you don't have to go right through down town KC.

What did you do with the 6 lug steelies?

Keep up the awesome job. :chevy::metal:

Thanks, I am glad you like it. I hope that I never have to go through downtown KC again.lol But if I do I will definately get a heads up from you.

I traded the steelies to a guy here locally.

Looking good. Is the stereo connected to see how the speakers sound? I've been wondering if they buzz or anything before I commit to buying a set for my truck.

As for the wheels, maybe look at 17" if you don't want the larger wheels. Pretty common OEM tire size now (our denali has them).
