You do know im very close to retirement age. And I'd gladly pay a young whipper snapper like you to help me with my truck. LOL

Had to cause trouble. Your a good dude, thus why people ask for your advice and opinion.

Thanks guys, but you guys don't need my help your projects look better than mine.

BTW I was able to get some work done on my truck this weekend. I had to redo my c-notch because once I got it to ride height I notice some interference. So I decided to just redo the whole thing. I made this c-notches, it gave me a reason to use the tig welder.

Thanks Kim and yes now I have lots of clearance, but as always every action causes a reaction I will now have to raise my bed a little, about a inch or a inch and a half.

LOL. BC you don't have to do it this way, I only redid mine because I wanted a lot more clearance and I had this idea popping in my head.lol We will do yours the way I had it before with some variation of course.lol When you are ready let me know.

Ease of use is mig hands down, but for real delicate work I love the tig and for sheetmetal fab and repair tig just can't be beat in my opinion. Now that I have a tig all my body panels will be tig welded. The bead is soft and low and you can metal finish (hammer and dolly work and less grinding) to perfection. But this is just my opinion it does not mean anything.

Like I was saying ease of use is mig, but don't let that stop you. Tig welding is not as hard as people make it out to be. Its just like any other skill it just takes practice. The more you do it the better you get.

I need them both because as with the c-notch above I fab the notches using a tig, but I welded them in with a mig because I was welding outside and tig is way more sensitive than mig when it comes to your welding environment and metal cleanliness.

Yeah I understand all about a slow build believe me.lol

They are still not getting along? 95 pounds WOW! I hope they are at the least tolerating each other. Puppies annoy the heck out of older dogs.lol

Im doing alright. Got a few more things to do around the house then I can start on the cab. I want to be done by this time next year so thats the goal.

Thats an interesting C-Notch, only you would have thought of that.
It does give you more clearence compared to the standard one.
Now you do know theres going to be a line for them. Cool Mod.

Thanks man,

How have you been I have not heard from you in a while? Hows your new build going?

Airbags? Nope not this go around. I've learned to never say never so I will say maybe someday, but I'm thinking about bagging the 55 210 I'm completely serious about it to. I don't have the details worked out yet. But I know I will be changing the whole front and rear suspension to something modern and I may want to bag it also.
