Just did my own Gen IV Surefit system install not sure if this helps much with your fitment curiosity but i found a little room in the glove box for paperwork and fuses/electrical tape. hopefully not much more than ill ever need on the road (knock on wood) but I enjoy the system everywhere else. the glove box space is a let down but that's what i got my classic console bench console for anyway right?

Build is looking amazing btw I've missed out on so much. I'd be sure to mount up the whole unit first and run your heater/a/c lines before permanently mounting all your elctrical boxes/relays though. it does get tight in there quick

I got my old bumper brackets cleaned up and painted and got the back bumper on.

I got the dash cut out for the ac vents.

I put the vents in and didn't like the black plastic, so I painted them the same parchment white that the console is and the door panels will be. Should be one of those details that most people never notice.

The weather is supposed to be nice next week so maybe we can get the firewall panels painted and I can get to working on the vintage air. I found one more panel that covers the tailgate latch on the inside that we didn't paint, plus I have some filler panels I made up that go around my sloshtubz to paint too.

Looks great, but may I suggest that you paint the 2 ac lines running from the condenser so they are not distracting from the beautiful grill!

Agreed^ but everything else looks amazing as well as the vent ball trim rings.

I am curious if you'll still be taking off the right front fender to fix the overlapped blue paint?

Finally got to put a couple of days work in. I got all the firewall panels painted and put in. Took three try's to get the right length on the other serpentine belt but its in. I got the EDC wiring run. I got the ac hoses made up and run. They run out of the back of the compressor and down low. I have a couple of little things left and the Vintage air will be complete.

Man, this Sub is looking terrific! I love the color scheme too.

I have a question: Is there much any extra room between the notch and the axle at full dump? If I were to do this, I would be willing to sacrifice going to the ground for a lower floor in the rear. I'm thinking if I made my own notch lower, and there was some extra space between the axle on what you have, I might could go 4 inches off the ground and only raise my floor 3 or 4 inches. If you understand what I'm meaning could you throw a tape measure on it for me???

Thanks, I just measured and the top of my notch is almost 9 inches above the factory floor. I originally set it up to run a 22 inch wheel but I ended up getting 20s. I guess I have about an extra 1 1/2 inches more than I need. Hope this helps

I just read your whole thread (by "read" I mean that I looked at every single picture and read most of the posts that had pictures in them) and all I can say is that it looks amazing. I love the look of a bagged ride with modern wheels and a classic paint scheme. Great work!

I would love to drop the rear of my 1968 Suburban. A C notch has been out of the question because of the compromise in strength . I think a weld in step notch can retain close to factory frame strength.

My notch is welded in. Talk to Nate at Porterbuilt and im sure he any specifics you would want.

Got my seat bracket for the passenger side and the seat backs. Got the window felts and wipers in the front, the back ones are still on order. Got the drivers door panel put in, just 3 more to go.
