Congrats friend. I just wish I could have got the funds to pull off the deal we had worked up but just didn't happen. I'll find what I need in due time. If you get down this way stop in and spend a day or two. Will have deluxe accommodations waiting for you.

I,m trying to put a 72 rear bed back together. Would you please post pics from under the bed to show position of support rails and rear sill. The last owner cut the bottom of rear sill out for a frame extension to come through. Dose the sill bolt on where the trunion hinge is?

Not busting your chops man. My note was to VT. I was simply referencing the fact that VT's last post was in 2009 while your question was in 2011. IIRC, VT was focusing more on family and less on building. That said, VT is a good person to ask for info. Rock on with your build brother!

I just found this thread. I need a sum up.

You found that orange tub, did all the work to it, and then sold that orange tub but kept the frame?

What exactly are you doing with the frame now??

Sorry to see that build turn out the way it did, but, as they say life marches on. JMHO, but in the long run he will be better off

Not really a sad ending if you think about it..... I bought that pristine 1969 tub in AZ, shipped it to CA where I was living at the time...then brought it with me to the east coast. Kurt bought it.... Brought it back part way...then sold it to someone who eventually completed it.

A former 1st Gen derelict is now a running vehicle again. That is a "win" in my book. :chevy:

Hey guys... thx for remembering

The tub in this thread went on to live as a sweet 2wd creation by another member, the frame went back to Greg where it was used to help his project move forward where it will live a good life and the axels went onto another project of mine (Agent Orange) which unfortunately never was completed.

It was however purchased by a member and parted out here on the board, so with luck... all parts went on to live again.

Was a bit tough to watch the discussions as the parts were described and sold though I must admit.
