...the Cheyenne badge looks great, more modern piece though!???? The art that went into these pieces makes it half the fun in putting these trucks together. I love other C-10 badges, but not my '65s...follow your vision right!!

Thanks man this is the truck at ride height. I can get it way up but this is one of the pre sets on the contoller. The truck will sit a little lower air out.

Looking awesome! I may have said this before, but normally I'm a HUGE fan of smoothed/shaved trucks. But this truck is just PERFECT with the trim, the sidemarker and taillight lenses, emblems, and the stance with the rims. Great vision and you pulled it together into a SWEET truck!

This truck is AWESOME! It is tempting/forcing me to spend a small fortune on Porterbuilt parts and start over from scratch on my truck.

Thanks guys I am glad you guys like the truck. I am really happy with the way it is turning out. I have been trying to get the motor in now for the last 2 weeks but I have been so buisy I am having a hard time finding the time. Mario got the drive on the motor so I will post the pics right now. I really am glad you guys dig the build. More pics to come as I progress through the build.

Any chance you could do a "costs" breakdown when this project is done?
I know you call this a driver,... but you actually have a very high dollar build here.
(for the average guy)

I love everything you have done.
I wouldn't change any part of it!:metal:

Not a problem do you want to know total cost to buy and build the truck. Or do you want itemized price of what I paid for everything

Total is fine.
If you feel like writing down an itemized list,... that would be great.
I don't think most people realized the amount of money it takes to build one of these "on the ground" beautys.

(plus it will make me feel better about all the money I spend on my "beaters". Ha.)

Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build

My guess,... in my head was around $40k.
(just think if you paid a shop to do all the labor!)

I have recently seen a lot of members swear a truck isn't worth $20k-$30k.
This is a great "reality check" for all the truck builders out there.
Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful truck!

Beautiful truck!

Ya I find that funny when I here that. I could have bought the blue and white 72 c10 for sale in the classified section for 30000 grand but then it would not have been mine. So I built it myself even though I new it would cost me more. Also it would be tough to by a 72 turned out laying frame with 22 and good paint for 20-30. I always think if you can do it more power to you. Then I think build it and see if you can do it for 20-30. It just is not going to happen. I have 44000 in mine. I did not pay for the motor or the front drive on the engine because two of my pts are hot rodders. One owns a motor shop and the other owns the hod rod parts shop. I traded dentistry for the motor and the drive. So of my own money I have 35000 or so in the truck. And again mario and I did all the labor. ;)

Damn, Mario did a super job on that front drive set-up - motor looks killer!!! Looks like he's gonna be handling my body & paint now - after your recommendation & talking to him definitely believe he's the man for the job! Hopefully mine will go into paint & body in June. Keep the pics coming on your truck man, your gathering quite the following!

I like your truck better than the $30k blue and white '72.
I'll be looking for it on the cover of StreetTrucks magazine, as soon as it see's it's first major truck show!

Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build

Thanks for sharing the numbers. I was thinking around $40K but you can add at LEAST $10-20K if you hadn't done the labor yourself. Your ride is top notch. It makes me just a little jealous I can't afford to drop cash on my project.....should have gone to dental college I guess. Hmmm
