Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"

those would be good carbs for the truck. If you can get that quadrajet set up they are really good carbs. I have a friend back home that got his built from a friend that specializes in them.

and i built a tranny crossmember out of 3/8 flat bar and im going to gusset it tomorrow
i think it looks pretty good if i had welded it prettier
ill post up some pics tomorrow
my brand new energy suspension tranny mount already broke (cheap made crap!!!!)

jgh64pkup 11-24-2009 12:06 AM

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"

has anyone cut holes out of there trailing arm crossmember and welded pipe in it for the exhaust to go through
im planning on doing this soon
just wanted to know the best way to do it

ChiefRocka 11-24-2009 12:11 AM

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"

That would be the way to do it...the way I would do it...although, some people just cut and go...

I think Frizzle has some pics.

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"

i have some 1/4 wall 4 inch I.D. pipe that im going to use should fit perfect
would it be easier to do if i cut out the rivets and pulled the crossmember out and did it on the bench

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"

Cut a hole in a piece of plywood you can clamp to the area your wanting to cut to keep the saw centered. and from wondering.

jgh64pkup 11-24-2009 07:26 PM

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"

well i got the holes cut but im out of argon so ill have to wait to put the pipe in
still tryin to sell my mufflers with no luck
dont ever try to cut the hole with a hole saw in between th framerails and trailing arms that sucks when you destroy your hand
