Thanks

The truck has a 350sbc, 700r4 trans, ten bolt 3:38 rear, HEI ignition, Vintage Air, Mustang II power steering, power disc brakes, elec windows, GPS, GPS speedometer, satellite radio, American Racing wheels 275r15x70 rear ww, 245r15x70 front ww, monte carlo front clip. I bought it out of St Louis in '09. The engine and the front clip was in it when I bought it. It needed to be cleaned up and I tweaked it to what I like. I installed the OD trans, ac, wheels, tires etc.

I love that truck. Def glad to see a GMC with an inline and slammed. A similar route I been wanting to go. I love the patina and the elegance of that engine.
So is she running now, or just moched up?

great, that is awesome. So what is your re end and gear ratio? what mpg are you getting with your drive train? Lastly how is that 4 link?

Big Irish 12-21-2011 05:52 PM

Re: How about some pics of 47-59

It is a Camaro rear disc set up with 373 gears . 200R4 . Not sure of mileage yet but with a 4 speed auto and a single barrel carb I am hoping very good . the 4 link works great . No issues .
Thanks .

I like big billet rims but with the look of your truck I think that the wide whites and painted rims look right at home. I say don't mess with a good thing.

Just my two cents

I know what you mean about winter....I only put 150 miles on my truck this summer after the long 10 yr build. I keep going out in the garage to hang out with it....ha ha. I still need to finish my interior so that's my excuse.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59

they give the illusion that the tires are narrower than they really are. Also if the stance and the wheel centers are off they will look farther than it really is. If you aren't carefull it will look like a big hot wheels.

on the other hand when done well {look at youngrodder's} the lack of over polished parts dosen't draw your eye away from the rest of the truck.

Just my $0.02

to search on ebay, just type in the year and make, like 1951 GMC truck. If that is not the only year, use a range like 1951-1954
