Here is a quick update for today, inner fender! There is a really nasty scratch on it by the crossmember support that's gotta be fixed......dang wind blew it over right after painting it:whine:. I should be able to get the other side in tomorrow along with the core support.

Gotta couple of things done today. The other inner fender, the core support, the grill, water reservoir, battery tray, hood latch and rock sheild. I just sat the cowl on to check alignment and the air cleaner cover just for the pic. Got more done today than I had anticipated but I am happy I did! The hurricane in the gulf is gonna drop a lot of rain around here for a couple of days so I may get to play with my truck instead of work :sexy: but I needs da money!!!!

You will pass me soon enough. I'm trying to finish up the wiring. I found A problem with
The aluminum dash bezel and am getting a replacement, so the gauges are on the back burner. Need to wire up the front of the truck and interior , and it will almost be complete.
Keep up the great work David!

I hate wiring. Hope you get that bezel issue resolved, what a b*tch. Had trouble with my front bumper brackets so I couldn't do it today, maybe tomorrow.......and yes......pictures:smoke:.

Alrighty then. Accomplished a little during the rain the past couple of days so decided to do a little more today. Got the hood hinges on, one headlight (Outback truck parts was closed) I need a spring for the other headlight bucket, also installed the little black box, horn, condensor brackets, wiring channel on the core support. Also did the last few things on the interior in Ronnie's car, installed drop springs in the Cutlass too. He is almost done. ERRRRRRR.

This is the second frame-off that he has done on it, so he has earned it! We are taking it Thursday to have the exhaust ran. 40 Series Flowmasters and original style megaphone tips. Should sound sweet!

Yep. Bumper issues. I tried to install the front bumper and the outside brackets are too short, but the bumper IS a 67 repop. I know the 71-72 bumpers have lights in them, therefore the outside bracket hole is further out. But in this case there are no lights on the bumper but the outside holes are too far out!?!?! Quick fix is to buy some 71-72 outer bumper brackets which I am doing in the morning. Then a update!

I did get the cowl on permanently and purchased and installed a sweet telescopic antenna. I'll get a pic of this thing fully extended, holy crap it's tall!!!! I guess it's so the old farm trucks can pick up some AM radio in the feilds!!!!

yea my 71 i extended that baby all the way out and it'd hit the header if i pulled it in that garage :) scared to pull it out on my Blazer, just too tall :)

Good luck with the bumper issue, just a plain 67 bumper then? I've kinda liked the new bumpers with round holes for fog lights or whatever you want..

Keep up the good work though man!

Yep, I had to "clearance" my orginals for the same reason then they wouldn't work on the bumper.

O'Reilly had em for $16 and $14. Any parts house should be able to get them for ya. And yeah, the antenna is a wind-whippin, cb-using, eyesore from hell, but when it's down it does look cool!
