Re: post your 67-72 4x4
72 Blazer (yea, I know, wrong grill) 468 BB, 350/205, 14 bolt rear, broken Dana 44 HD front (Dana 60 coming soon), 39.5x19.5 Boggers. Repainted it silver last weekend with a cowl hood and tube doors, will have to get some new pics.
Not a fan of the flairs. Going to make a set, hopefully out of carbon fiber that resemble the Bushwhacker cutouts next winter. http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/..._2563214_n.jpg |
Re: post your 67-72 4x4

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Man that is a cool picture, brings back many memories of when we used to mud race for 7 years in the 90's and again for a few years about 4 years ago, sure takes a while to get clean again doesn't it, haha. Like the plate, mine say's Mudman for a reason too. Later man, enjoy that kick ass truck.:metal:

This is actually the only truck I regret selling; 72, 400sbc, factory 4 gear....looking for another 1/2 ton 4x4 to replace my Blazer(once it's gone).
MMMM......4x4 Suburban.... |
Re: post your 67-72 4x4
NICE truck Tony. My dad had one just like that back in '76. Red, 400 with a 4 speed......Your pics brought back some good memories. That truck was the one that started my love for this body style!

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Nice Truck. Mom's side of the family was original native Calgarians.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Yup, brackets were super easy; just straight 3/16 plate drilled for bolts.

Yeah, good call. This particular picture was taken in Kansas on the way back to Texas. I pulled out of Manhattan KS, and headed south and got snowed on all until I got south of Oklahoma City. I always like to see them in action also. Doing what they were built to do.
