Mike, you took some really good pictures. I'm going to order the same gaskets. Thanks for the help.

I finally found the issue with my cam sensor:metal: The wires going into the ECM were in the correct locations but going into the plug 2 out of the 3 wires were crossed. It's always something simple lol.

If you run into a snag on your vent windows just give me a shout, I will help you if I can. I rebuilt mine and the latch would barely catch. The rubber takes a while to conform. I don't plan on ever opening them so that's not a big deal. They sealed up good.
Glad to see you found the cam sensor problem.

Here is the line I ordered off of eBay and worked perfect. I kept the OEM bleeder. If you need more info or pics let me know.

Thank you for the info, that was the one I was eye-balling. Perfect.

What size hole-saw did you use in the firewall for the engine harness? Did you have any pictures of the completed mounting if ECM/Fuse Box and Vintage Air under the dash?

Reading through the VA instructions, it looks like it's going to be TIGHT under there.

I used a 2" hole-saw. At first I thought it was going to be too big, but it ended up working out perfect after running all my wiring. I plan on installing the vintage air system in the next few months. I'm pretty sure my ECM is going to be in the way and will have to relocate it nearby. I intentionally left my wiring going to the ECM extra long.

Great info and Thank You for the picture. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you'll have to move all of that. It's pretty tight up there with the VA evaporator unit, mounting brackets and lines. You might get lucky and be able to squeeze something in there, but it would be a PITA to get to if you ever need to replace a relay or chase wires

I used custom fittings, but the plumbing is about the same routing. Here's mine all jammed in there...

Wow, your right that is going to be tight. Thanks for sharing the pictures.. Love the color of your truck. I'm also restoring a 63 VW 2nd owner all original car. The original color is close to your blue. What color is your truck? Thanks.

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual

No problem Mark. The truck is actually a factory Medium Blue, code 510. It's just been resprayed in Base/Clear.

I'm sure you'll love the AC once it's installed. I can't imagine going back to no AC in mine now that I have it. Keep up the good work, your truck is turning out great!

This weekend I entered my truck in it's first ever Car Show, (the largest show of the year for the Las Vegas area). I was hesitant to do so, because my Truck is not completely finished. My family and I had a great time, and we met a lot of really cool people aka "Truck Enthusiasts"! I totally wasn't expecting to win anything, just excited to show the Truck & what I've finished so far! So when my Truck won; "Super Run 2015 Outstanding Vehicle" award, I was shocked AND proud!!

Thanks Mike... It's really hard to work on it, since I enjoy driving it so much lol. I can't believe how well these LS's run with the great fuel mileage to go with it.

I just picked up some new tubular A-arms and sway bar. Hopefully I will get them on this afternoon so I can get the truck aligned this weekend.

A-arms are installed. I ended up having too pull out my 1.5" lowering springs and installing my stock spring to get the ride height. I can't believe how much better it rides. Today I'm going to install the sway bar.

Thanks Mike.. Got the truck aligned Friday, really handles nice now.

Had a few friends over yesterday to BBQ and help me with assembling my bed. I still need to bolt in the fender wells and install my fuel cap.

Thank You! It is a good feeling. But for some reason I don't think it will ever be finished (engine mods, rear end, deeper wheels etc lol).

Thank You Heath:metal: you won't regret it.

Tuesday night after a late night finishing up the wood floor. All my friends had just left. I was pulling the truck in the garage and was using 4"X4" in front of the tires to keep the truck in the driveway. so I kicked the block out forgetting it wasn't in gear and my E- brake wasn't on ( don't have one). Truck started to roll down so I shoved the block Back pinching my right index finger. Here's a picture before the 20 stitches. Luckily I didn't break my finger or damaged the truck. I told my wife I rather have lost my finger than my truck hitting the brick wall across the street lol. Sorry if the picture grosses anyone out. Let me know and I can delete it.
