I am doing the same thing you are right now, swapping frames. It doesn't seem too bad so far. I know this is snowball stuff but do yourself a favor and go ahead and put new bushings, ball joints, ect in it while you are this far down. No since in doing it again later. Of course if this is your DD you may not be able to have it down that long. Looks good man. Have fun with it.

Four years ago when I started working on my truck I replaced all the bushing and steering components, so I will be using them on the new frame, and yes this is my daily I will be able to borrow my grand pa's jeep wile its down

yep I have a different perspective on quality of work now since I work at a top notch auto repair shop, if it wasn't done right the first or dressed up it will be this time.

I did get a little work done today a was able to cut the rivets off for the factory tail pipe hanger, but I still have the rear bump stop brackets to cut off, the cross member that holds the disc brake valve has a loose rivet so I may cut all the rivets out and replace with bolts

I got the rear end unbolted so tomorrow I'll move the frame to the back yard and start stripping the paint I plan on have frame sanded and painted by the end of the month

I think I noticed that frame on C-list. Smart way to get the swb rails & get it all slicked/painted w/o down time on the truck.

Nice score on the frame man. Like Scoti mentioned that's a good way to go about it. Keep us updated.

moved the frame to back yard and started on removing the rear bump stop brackets, then I still need to weld on washer to the front left shock mount since its wallered out

Just my opinion, but I don't think those wheels will look good on your truck.

Looking good man, keep it up!

At your current drop, I would just swap on some shock relocators up front vs. the washer idea. Measure your shocks & see if it's a good idea.

if you still want your towing capacity go with some drop shackles
