Played with PS a bit more- stuck some Coy's on the truck, exactly like what I had on the Blazer. If I go this route again, it will be with a twist- unlike anything anyone else has. Of course, that's what I thought when i put the Coy's on the Blazer, now they're everywhere... |

I like it !!

Nice truck brotha, and thank you for removing the 90's step side bed. The way the cab and bed flow together (especially on a fleet side) is one of the most beautiful lines on these trucks. Why anybody would put a newer bed on I don't know, great job thus far keep us posted!:gmc2:

I think the cast center ttII's would look really nice on your truck and would be my vote. What size you looking to go with.

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
Super Slick! The wheels really help the patina!

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
everything has come out great on the truck.
You going to come over our way for Cruising the Coast? |

Was reminded, by the fact that we're headed to GoodGuys Lonestar Nats in a couple of weeks, that I had done some work on the truck in preparation for the trip, but had failed to update. Here's some crappy cell phone pics of the insulation I installed last week. It is from a guy I found on the HAMB, who goes by the name lobucrod. The insulation is supposed to cut down 97% of radiant heat up to 450*. From the difference I can feel on the firewall and floorboards, where it used to burn your feet, now exhibits no temperature change; I'd say it works- and quite well. I love finding cheap alternatives that actually perform... :chevy:

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
I'm not on the HAMB....any link to the product?

Also check around Google for reviews. Couldn't find a bad thing written about it, and can't find anything bad to say myself. Good stuff- and cheap. :D |
Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
Thanks for the link!!!....did you get the 40'...and did you find the need for the tape?

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
Thanks for the link its early today and I must be slow but did you buy 2 40 sq. ft. rolls and one big roll of tape? This looks to be a nice cheap alternative to dynamat. I'm very interested.

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
I just ordered some also. I have fat mat down now (almost done anyway) and will lay this over it. BTW, nothing wrong with bright shiny wheels on a patina truck either. Just saying...
|
Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
do you just tape the mat to mat seams or all edges???
