I looked through this thread and it is very neat! Did you have any problem with flex in the door frame up by the windsheld ? If so how did you fix it? What did you do to seal the door windows to the top?

jmcleek, Thanks for checking out my build. No I did not have any flex at door frame by windshield. The "A" pillar is strudy enought, when I added the header piece it retained all the strength. No chipped paint after 7 yrs of driving. The windlace shown in the picture is how the glass keeps the wind and rain out. The glass stops just before getting to the top, and the windlace is on the inside.....Jim

Thanks Ray, Had the truck out today with 10 others for a fall cruise. We drove south into Arkansas had lunch at a place by the river, checked out the sites and drove back, put on about 160 miles and was smiling the whole time.....Jim

Had our local Christmas parade this past week-end. One of the car clubs I belong to always take our cars to the parade. I found out today that the local radio station took pics and had some of mine on their web site. So I borrowed them and wanted to post on the site. So here they are, enjoy...Jim

Oh yeah everyone have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I just spent the bulk of my day sitting here enthralled with your build! Great quality build! My father wanted to do that to his 49 at one time but now it's all mine! Though if he sees this he may want it back haha. This has given me some nice ideas for mine though. If only I had a good stock frame! :)

On a much more serious note, thanks for showing us this build. It's a great testament to what can be done to these trucks!

Thank you for the very kind words. There are so many nice trucks on here. I look at a lot of them and wish I had done some of the things they did to mine (seems like that's the way it always is). Keep us posted on your build....Jim

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build

Hey guys,
First Happy Memorial Day to everyone. I had posted on a couple other builds that I was going to the Mid-America Nats in Springfield, MO, Fri, Sat and Sun. I drove back and forth each day, because of the wife and her M.S. (about 250 miles round trip). Love driving the truck so no problem there, and put on a little over 800 miles. Anyhow, I have been going to this show for years and the last 8 years with my pickup.

For whatever reason my pickup was chosen by two Kansas NSRA reps. as their selection for the "Circle of Winners" on Sunday. Needless to say I was tickled to death to be chosen. There was 2,140 registered at the event and about 40 are chosen for the winners display.

I had planned to post some pics anyhow, but now I can also show a few of mine. So here's a few shots I took, too many cars and with friends it was sometimes hard to get pictures taken.
