unfortunately I don't know that or much else about it, I bought it that way.. but despite all the surface rust, it turned out to be very solid where it counts, unmolested with no extra holes, runs ok, and the price was right :)

I would guess 3 to 4 inch lift.

Very nice original truck! I've always liked the 67-68 lower body and fender trim.

Thanks! Your 69 looks real good, nice and clean! This is the most original truck I’ve owned and it’s my favorite. I bought it from member SactoJim about 7 years ago, flew in and drove it back down here. Converted to 5 lug disc up front, swapped in a posi 5 lug rear from a 72 to match, added HEI, and restored the factory AC. It’s a smooth driver and I use it all the time for hauling stuff to the dump and Home Depot trips.

I reckon around there maybe even 6", I just don't have paperwork for any of it and the seller didn't know.. I recall it was his uncle's previously and his brother also worked on it.. then it sat for a few years so it's a mystery machine LoL

I'd be happy to take any measurements if they would help.. those are 36" 9.00-16LT sta super lug tires on late model 16" gm 9594142 16"x6.5" wheels if that helps for reference..

I do have some 20 year old paperwork that came with the blue K1500 if that helps, it sits about the same as the K20.. it's posted in the 4x4 subforum with pictures and awesome member outfield posted a very informative reply.. there's a few other comments about it there too that may be helpful, shoot maybe even another sub with a better pedigree in there would help.. hope that helps

Mine was originally manual steering and manual brakes. Back around 1995, I installed 85 C10 spindles and disc brakes, and had a race car shop re-drill the rear axles for 5 lug. Then installed 71-72 finned drums. The master cylinder and booster are stock 71-72. Truck stops crazy good!

All steering parts are 73-87 C10 except for Pitman and idler arms. Glad I wrote all this down when I did it years ago!

If anyone here needs it, I have all the info in a spreadsheet along with Moog part numbers for 69, 71-72, and 73-87 C10.

That stereo has so many different settings and adjustments, I'm afraid it will take me years just to scratch the surface of the dang thing, even with You-Tube's help. :o

Weather was a bit iffy this weekend, so instead of dropping $80 to show @ the NSRA Car Show and get rained on, I stayed local and went a coffee and cars Car Show at the Bass Pro Shop parking lot. I started & promoted the show some 5-6 years ago, but when Cabalas lawyers got involved and a mandatory waiver was implemented, I stepped aside. Glad to see the show is still happening and people enjoying it.

Always thought it strange to pay $80 to take your car to a show where the promoters can charge people $25 to see it!

That is strange, never taken my truck to a car show so I'm probably missing out on some pretty pleasant times.

A couple in a Safeway parking lot once asked me if I take my truck to the local car shows, when I replied that I don't, they asked why.

I said this is my daily driver and I show it off just driving it everywhere.

I get plenty of complements doing that.

...may have to reconsider though.

A few years ago I pulled my 55 Chevy car into a slot at a Sonic drive-in and placed an order. Turns out there was a car show in part of the parking lot and in the lot of an adjacent grocery store.

After placing our order, a guy walked up and said something like "That will be $25 to enter the show." Not, "Hi, would you like to enter the show?" or anything like that. When I told him we were there just for lunch, he actually seemed upset and I think he wanted to tell me I couldn't park there! Anyway he just walked off, and we had some good burgers!

Turns out the show was mostly late model Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, rice burners, etc. One even had blue LED lights in the engine compartment. Wow! How cool!

A few weeks later we went to a much larger show with older cars and NO entry fee (or blue LEDs).

Here are of few from the dirty dozen I own. Both are K20 trucks. The white one is a retired fire department truck K20 with service bed. The blue is a 72 high optioned K20.

I've always said they got it backwards...they charge the guy who has all the time and money invested to enter your vehicle in a show so people can lean on it for photo ops.

A couple years ago, my local union delegated me to take some tents and chairs down to Reid Park for the Labor Day Picnic. Parking was harder to find because there was also a car show at the Park. So I pulled into a slot that was close to the pavilion where I had to deliver, and asked if there was a fee for the car show. No. Can I enter my '68 C/10 Stepside? Sure. So I parked it along the car show line, made up a windshield card, detailing what goodies were in the engine, popped the hood up, locked it and walked away. Free parking. Didn't expect to win any prizes but I had fun. Some folks were puzzled by the fact that it had original paint, stock stance, not lowered and had an L6.

Thanks, Mike. It's still my Daily Driver. Bought it in 1973, when I was 23. Turned over 400,000 last summer. Third engine. Actually the Original block that I put up in crates in '77 when we rebuilt another 292 at MCAS Yuma AZ. That one I got 250,000 out of, before I pulled it and rebuilt the block I have now.
Badger pistons at .030 over, larger intake valves [1.84''] Crane 260H cam, Offy intake, Edelbrock 1404 500 CFM 4 barrel, Clifford headers. GM HEI. SM465, 12 Bolt 3.73 Posi. N-pipe exhaust crossover. I'm always suprized by the guys that think I've been saving their next ''Barn Find'' for them to chop, cut, relocate the gas to below the frame, lower, paint pink, mount on tricycle spoked wheels, LS-ify and flip for X multiples of what they think I'll take for it.
They don't know I'm on this Forum for 19 years, and know what's up.
