Thank you. I used some 600 grit and wet sanded. I would suggest my e some 1000 but I hate sanding and 600 got the job done faster

Ok so ever since I put on the 7" wide rear wheels, 5 lug conversion, I rub going around corners and into my driveway. I got these 1" spacers it will give me clearance and it will look better to in my opinion.

Are you planning on running the cups on the rear bags or mounting them straight to the frame?

I plan to run the cups. Will make it easier and not have to drill for the fitting :waah::lol:

Looks great Shawn, are you going to install the front bags while you have the front end apart or at a later date.

Well business slowed down enough to get it apart. I wish I had the time to clean and detail like I want to but I will eventually go with tubalur arms so I just don't want to waste the effort :waah:
And yes for some reason the PO cut the bump stop pieces as well as 2 full coils of the stock front springs

When aired out or for ride height?

Aired out might not be different if you have 2" blocks but ride height will probably be a inch or two difference. With not having a dm I want to be as low as I possibly can ;)

I want my ride height as low as possible as well. So I will look into drilling the frame. Just wanted to take the easier route

Drilling the frame sucks!
I was sick of metal shavings. Ha.
I ended up using a 7/8" drill bit for the air fitting hole.

I suggest using the hat's first and see how far you get into your c-notch,... especially since you have 2" lowering blocks.

Everyone talks about "low" ride heights.
And yes,... you can drive it as low as possible.
But you will have to air up quite a bit to get the front end back into alignment.
Just depends how often you want to replace your front tires.

Unibits are awesome when drilling frame holes.. that may be what you mean? (7/8 bit..) just saying, they are expensive but worth every dime. I have a titanium one thats awesome. One bit did all the holes for my rear PB stuff.

I'm with you about the metal shavings just had to drill a couple of rivots out the other day. As for the front alignment, could you just set your ride height then have them do the alignment for that specific height?

Ok guys I have run into a snag with the disc brake install. I installed the POL Disc brake conversion front hard line set and it fits pretty good. I got the CPP disc brake front conversion hoses from a board member and the hose ends are larger than the line ends :( my question can I go with a set of factory stye 71-72 front brake hoses?

I had my alignment guy, (a gearhead, and good friend), align my blazer.
I told him to align it as low as possible.
He did the best he could at keeping it low,... but I would have liked a lower ride height.
That's really what a Dropmember is for.
LOW ride heights!

If you can find "inverted flare" adapters,... you can use them to adapt your hoses.
The 71-72 hoses have two different size hose fittings.
(thats the way they were from the factory)
So you would still need an adapter on one side.
I used the ECE conversion hoses on my red '69.
They are a direct bolt on.

I have extra long 73-87 hoses on my blazer, so it doesn't stretch the brake line so tight when air'd out.
But they require an adapter also.

I got my inverted flare adapters at my local ACE hardware store.

My bags are mounted directly to the frame.
Slam Specialties bags have a huge port size, (3/8"npt or 1/2"npt), that requires a pipe thread bushing to reduce down to my PTC air line fitting.
I think I used a uni-bit up to 3/4" and then cleaned up the hole with a 7/8" standard drill bit with a 1/2" reduced shank.
