Kmart mirrors. I put the factory ones on my '69, like shown on that Dude. That truck is so well done, then they go with cheapo mirrors. Go figure

Those are all really nice. Trucks I dream of. I have some nice GM Truck pictures to show, but this thread is for other makes so I'm sticking with that

I like the look, it’s been done properly.

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
I was never a fan of that body style. But it looks awesome with 4x4. I would love it my driveway

Same here. Looks like it lost some fat up on that frame with those tires. It looks great like that. Got any Rancheros for the 'Other Makes' theme?
How about this: |
Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
Very unique T Bird. I never saw one converted to a Ranchero let alone 4x4.

Here it is again another year where I always see it at the ATHS Tri-State Show in Winchester, VA. The other two are from that same show. Then another of it another year, along with a neat little unit

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
My dad had a green 60 just like the one in the pic. I love the fire rigs...but.....I'm from the fire state. LOL

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
Everyone should have a pumper brush truck. I love that Japanese Beetle Green Willys and Jeep used.

No doubt! Especially the VW van. I'd love to see how the running gear set up.

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
The bus in action is 10x cool! I have a picture saved of it going down the road, but that is just plain cool!
|
Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
The Vdub bus looks to be on a early 70s ford Bronco or f100 ford 4x4 frame

If I ever own a Willys or Jeep I want this color. I always envisioned it with gun metal grey wheels and steel bumpers

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
Not a 4X4 but something I bought years ago, flew into Grand Junction, CO. Jumped in and drove 1100 miles home, no radio, no cell phone, no nuthin.

I had VWs when I started out driving. I liked the Baja bugs but I would not chop up the ones I had ('49 and two '56s). Then I saw this approach and wanted to do one bad... but never did. Yes, give them clearance and a VW will go better than any 2wd and about as good as a 4wd in certain terrain. I built a Baja Bus and went boonie bashin', out on the beach, all over in that thing |

Here is my grandpas old 47 Willys cj2a. This thing has rarely seen pavement in the last 20 years. It is a beast. I just like his custom paint job. Defiantly unique and from another era:metal:

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
And he's still rockin' the flathead....gotta love it!

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
Would love to see more of that flat fender. Very cool!

You know that picture of it I showed I have had for ten or more years. Looks the same, no bumper on front, but most likely was the previous sale. I guess it sat well stored. Looks the same! Travelall love!

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
I love the relaxed look of that body style.

Me too! I used to also hear them called school buses, too . I like them through the years. The late-50s/early-60s have a certain funk I love. The mid-60s are sharp with the lower body sides and taller glass, and the late square style is just so brute yet handsome... like a 67-72 GM

Here are some more pictures of the willys flat fender. This is our ranch/off roading rig so its been well used. It had the same paint scheme in the 70's - 80's but the yellow was dark blue and orange, light blue. I know my mom, her sisters, and most of my cousins learned to drive stick in it. only thing that has changed is wheels and seats.
