here is my latest build 49Hardtimes. Brought it to Pittsburgh for some flicks. I built the engine and reconstructed the dash at my print shop in Pittsburgh. Built the rest of the truck up north at my garage. Over 800 hrs in this one.

I don't like orange but I must say they look real good on that patina, start a build thread so we can drool some more.

Paul, Such a pretty truck, big congrats!

Is your bench seat the stock one? I ask because I see the center arm rest but can't see if it's built-in or an add on from some other car. I like it!

Question for the Old Guy (oldnslow)
Are those the wheels that are custom ordered to spec? ie. offset/bolt pattern/width ect.? The Brand name slips my mind, Redline or something similar???
Looks great.

Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59

The wheels are Centerline "Boulevard" series. They will custom make them in your pattern and offset. Although they are inexpensive compared Billet Specialties, etc. I had to send two of them back because the centers were not machined like the other two. After they were machined correctly, they returned them with different center caps that did not match the other pair. It took about a month to get the correct caps, the whole ordeal took about 4 months to resolve, after waiting 8 weeks for the wheels. I have heard a couple other similar stories as well. That said, the wheels look good and balanced easily.

Thanks guys! big_moss I still need to finalize the brake plumbing, cooling hoses, fuel lines, wiring, wipers and gauges then have the doors and front clip aligned. Doesn't sound like much but it's the piddly stuff that should take 10 minutes but takes hours.

Advanced Design...you are right man. 53 Caddy bumper and bullets. Still considering replacing the front bumper with a smaller bumper and adding a rear one to match whatever I decide for the front but unsure??

How about a 53 Caddy bumper for the rear with no bullets? I like them on the front. Very cool look.

Definitely. Dad spent a small fortune having it restored too :waah:

Haha, no worries man! He had the front of his '64 Olds 88 bagged and he hated it, so he decided on a static drop for the front of this truck. He prefers to have the nose of his rides to be bit higher in the front, '60s style :)

I don't have any pics of the rear set up, but I'll try and get to my Dad's house to snap a few in the next couple of days. Wheels are stock 15 x 7" 5x5" GM steelies off of an 80's Caprice cop car. Not sure what the back spacing is. I know he's running adapters on the front because the track on a Mustang II clip is so narrow, plus the rotors are 5 x 4.75" bp and he wanted to run the same wheels at all four corners.

You're very welcome :metal:

And Pops wanted me to make it known that the truck is For Sale! I'll be posting an ad in the Classifieds soon :chevy:

small world my girls brother law owns it now and he talked me into building a 51 haha
