thanx Bazooka!!
i got a chance to do a little more work. im waiting on some header wrap and some flex couplings. then i will finally be able to finish the exhaust up. besides that i got the holes drilled for the crossover pipe, and all the welding done today. i noticed that some H pipes have a smaller hole than the diameter of pipe. I had a hole saw to cut a hole for a door knob so i just used that.. i believe it was 1 3/4" anyway on with the pics |

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
thanx man!
im really not sure.. i think its just so the pressures can equalize without too much exhaust getting trapped in the crossover pipe but thats just a guess. |

Thanks bro I try to make it ride good and functional for handling, avoiding body roll. How's that paint holding up on the tires? I really want to paint mine but unsure of what I should use and I've heard a lot of jetliner fusion doing badass work for whitewalls Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet

thanx man!!! well no work on the truck today but i decided i needed a suicide shifter and clutch on my harley so i made a bracket to relocate the clutch cable to the original shifter lever and made a suicide shifter out of an old door knob.. i got everything working good and its a blast to ride.. a lil tricky taking off but im starting to get pretty smooth with it now.. its actually way easier to find neutral now!!! next step is to trim the old shift lever down and grind the shifter smooth and paint it and the bracket.. i will get some good pics after its all done quicky cell pic |
Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
Harley is bad ass man. If thought about doing suicide shift on my sporty but I'm afraid. Haha.

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
well got a lil bit done today.. the first few pics are some things i scored a couple weeks ago at an old salvage yard around here. some cool old tags, a wall mount fan that im gonna mount in my shop.. been sitting outside for who knows how long but it still works. also got an old pipe vise and stand (not pictured) my favorite score of the day was an old Unity spotlight.. still not sure if im gonna use it on my truck or not but i had to get it for 35 bucks!!!!:metal::metal::metal:
http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3765/9...523c49a8_b.jpg http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3834/9...1a433c0e_b.jpg today i made a plate to cover up my shifter hole, adjusted my switch on my shifter for the reverse lights and hooked it up. also ran the rest of the wires under the carpet for the tail lights and fuel gauge and such http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3724/9...5680720d_b.jpg http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3792/9...72372333_b.jpg got my seat installed today to.. not real happy with the wrinkles around the armrest area but there isnt anything good to attach the material to when you get a good stretch do to the hole being there. other than that i really like it http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3792/9...72372333_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7388/9...e8c23d3d_b.jpg http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5472/9...8d5e25c3_b.jpg http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5459/9...226c82ca_b.jpg http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3668/9...e95f3f3e_b.jpg http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5342/9...baaf044d_b.jpg lokar shift boot http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5450/9...71324dae_b.jpg also i finished and installed my exhaust a few weeks ago but never took any pics. still gotta move the air line so it dont get too hot http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3707/9...5320a9f6_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7357/9...7ccbc767_b.jpg http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5539/9...0ccc6f7b_b.jpg here is where the exhaust dumps in front of the rear tires http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7331/9...3e12a939_b.jpg http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5493/9...012ccba4_b.jpg http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2875/9...d1b59f6e_b.jpg |

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
Really loving the build. I've been watching it since you started; may have to find some time to stop by next time I'm in Muskogee. My best friend lives out there so every so often I head that way.
