Now that is one nice brake set up!!!!! making me jealous. Keep it up and before long you will be scraping paint, draggin tail in that burb. LOL. like that is gonna happen.

It's a really sweet kit and I finally feel like I'm making progress on the burb. I pretty much have the rear buttoned up. I have to get a differential gasket tomorrow and tighten a few bolts and then I'll be moving towards the front....:sumo:. Here's a few pictures of everything mounted inluding the brake lines.

I asked Nate about the brackets when I ordered mine. He made them and I welded them on. I don't think he is adding them on unless you ask for them. I'm sure he'll send you a set if you want some.

Some clips similar to what CPP provides with the rear disc brake kit should work really well...

I think they look good, might be a little to flashy for the truck. I think a Intro Vista or the twisted Vista would be awesome.

While I like those rims on certain trucks, I don't think they do your Burb justice.

:agree: They look a bit small (tires too). I guess I'm just calibrated to mine now. 22" rears with 20" front seem to be the money ticket for these. That, or go closer to the stock look like 17" rallyes.

I Think both of these statements hit the mark...

I do like those rims but maybe not on the large bodied burb, I also think when 20's are used on the rear you need a bit more tire (sidewall) to fill the wheel wells. But then this is just my two cents, it's your ride and you should go with what you like.

I will say though, I love the brakes man. I have been looking at that kit myself and I think I will be picking a set up here real soon!

To flashy for me, :D. Besides, we wouldn't want to Burbs running around here with the same wheels, ;).

These are 22's, but the tire is to small. I don't like rubberbands.

I've pretty much decided that I'm going with 20 x 10's (29" tall tire) in the rear and 20 x 8.5's (27" tall tire) in the front. The brakes are awesome! If they perform as good as they look, I will be extremely happy.

No worries, I just borrowed these to check some backspacing and fitment.

Nice wheels, but a little to "flashy" for what I've done to the truck. I think I will keep it "simple" for now anyway, ;). Here are the tire sizes I'm going with 295 40 20 for the rear and 245 40 20 for the front....

I was looking at the same wheel, but I was trying to get Billet Spec. to poweder coat the face of the wheel black. They kicked it around but decided that they could not do it.

My wheel search continues...

Rob,

I would maybe think about a 255/40/20 up front. I think it would match better with the 295/40 out back. The 245/40 is just a hair too small. Otherwise the burb is looking great!

I thought about that. I even contacted the powder coating place the Billet Specialties uses (Ironically called Coating Specialties) for their wheels, and they said they it could be done.

In the end, that is a lot of money for an experiment. I would want to make sure that it would turn out nice.

Uhhmmm maybe, ;). I started the installation of the 13" front rotors and modular spindles. Unfortunately, no good pictures to show because it's going to take me longer to clean up the paint shop "goo" than it is to install the brakes, :waah:

HartRob, are your motor mount purches in the back set of holes like an I6 or front holes. I know you had told me you used the ECE mounts before, I think.
Also, whats the closest those DT headers come to the firewall in the back of header. Thanks. I'm looking at using I6 stands with the stock rubber mount for 327 and homemade adapters. This is what a local guy has on his with a . 5.3. I'm looking for header clearance before I buy a set of DT's though. This sets the engine back a little more than yours looks. Thanks. Jim.

They're big block motor mounts. There should be a picture in an earlier part of my thread. There's about 2" of clearance between the headers and the firewall on both sides. Here's a couple of pictures.

Since I've got the front end all tore apart, I pulled the bags and switched the air fitting from 1/4" to 3/8" to match the Accuair manifold.

Rob, I really like the Billets as well - are you trying to stay away from TT2's and/or a set of Coys?
