John

I think we need to work together on this. Here's my parts list so far:

Dirty Dingo adjustable engine mounts, CPP engine stands, CPP tubular tranny crossmember, auto high hump, Speartech harness, factory accessories, Doug Thorley big tube headers (hopefully)....

I think you will have to switch your oil pant to either an Fbody (won't work with the ECE mounts) or the Cadillac CTsV. Add as necessary.

I happened to find this one on LS1Tech. I had been looking on ebay, searching Craigslist and anywhere else I thought might have one these for about 2 months. I limited myself somewhat because I wanted low miles and the 6.2/6L8E. Finding them with 25-50K miles is fairly easy AND cheaper. I also talked to William at American Pickup Salvage in NW Arkansas. He's got some really good stuff/deals and I probably would have bought a 2500 HD 6.0/6L90E from him had I not found this one. Bottom line: do your homework, no what package you want and keep your eyes open for a deal.

Great score on the engine & trans. Same engine I am wanting to find for my Camaro. Only ones I have found locally are way too much money for my budget and have a lot more than 135 miles on them. $10k was the lowest so far with 6000 miles on it. I think it is cheaper to buy a new crate LS3 from the dealer and buy all the accessories to match new as well.

You wouldn't want this ole piece of junk, :D.

Here's a couple pictures with the center caps on at our local Saturday night car show. PCMCobra allowed me to park next to him so I wouldn't feel so alone,. There was a nice LS1 67 step there also.

By looking at your profile I can see you are a OU fan. It makes me wonder what true OU fan would park next to a Miami and a Florida fan. Do you not remember 1988 or 2009. Haha jk.

I finally installed my CPP front tubular A-arms and 1.25" sway bar. This should help get a better alignment without so many shims. Plus they look way cooler than the bulky factory ones, :metal:. Also, the new arms weigh about 10 lbs per side less, so I guess that's another positive :). I also upgraded the u-bolts that hold the lower control arms 3/8" to 1/2". After all was said and done, the ride height remained exactly the same, who would have guessed???? Still gathering parts for the LS swap.....

Just an FYI, those little 3/8" original u-bolts are stronger than the later model 1/2" u-bolt. The 1/2" u-bolts will bend with a few hammer taps to fit in the original holes. The original 3/8" u-bolt will make the hammer bounce. Plus, on my sets, the original 3/8" u-bolts only had some discoloring after degreasing, the 1/2" u-bolts were rust pitted even though they were 16 or so years younger. This also tells me that there is a different grade of steel.

oops, I got distracted by the bling and forgot I was not anywhere near the end. I'll just keep reading...

I'm trying to finish up my exhaust "renovation" that ended up in the removal and replacement of the transmission crossmember and the trailing arm crossmember. Both will be replaced with ECE units. Sooooo, out with the old and in with the new....:metal:.

Nice work with your project. I have a lot of the same parts you are using. One question i have the same transmission crossmember. When you installed it did it line up with existing holes or did you have to drill?

Thanks! I can't wait....:metal:. Here's what I'm going to do for my driveshaft. It 3.5" aluminum driveshaft that uses a Porsche 930 CV joint connects to the 6L80 output shaft. This will allow me to use the Camaro output shaft and not have to open the tranny up and switch to a slipe yoke style. It's rated to a 1000HP and costs around $750. It was going to cost around a $1000 to change the ouput shaft, not counting buying a new driveshaft.....
