really dig that pic as well...like somebody else on FB mentioned though, it would've been really killer if she was drinking Orange Crush, Sunkist, or some other orange soda.

They called Top 50, Best of Show and Preachers choice. I figured with one to go I would go home empty handed then they called me for "Youth Choice"

Congrats Alan ,we passed by there on our way to the Carolina's but didnt have time to stop in .We are rambling around up here most of the week and hope to find a junkyard or 2 .Is there a show or cruise in anywhere next Weekend after the get together ?

The seat brackets are almost done. I bolted them to the seats, set the seats in place, aligned, then tacked in place. Finaly I drilled thru the bracket and floor 16 times. I will remove the tacks and clean up

Right now this is what it looks like. It got late last night and didn't finish the last leg. I just cut off the feet and turned them to the inside. There was some interfearance with the seats. I had to locate the center seat to the front somewhat because when I flipped the center seat back up it hit the back of the cab. After all of this i realized that the seat brackets probably weren't needed. I could have flipped the center seat brackets the way I did and just shortened them. The seats sat on the floor just fine without the center seat in. But with the seats being raised it made it more comfortable and more leg room. I felt like it was easier to reach the pedals. I've sat in another truck with these same seats and it was ackward driving it, by that I mean I felt like I had to lift my leg up when going from the gas to the brake.

When you flipped the jump seat brackets, did that keep the front brackets from being too far forward? I have the same seat mounted (without modifying the bracket), but it sticks out to the front past the hump.

Great idea! So, I'm guessing that you had to account for the height difference between the front of the center hump and the back before you flipped the legs inward. Also, did you mount the feet directly to the floor? I'm thinking that this may be what I do too.

Do the feet feel pretty safe (as in the weld won't break in a collision)? Should I do a lap joint and plug weld, then stitch weld the joints?

I'm sorry for so many questions; I am a wood-worker, not a metal fabricator. I'm learning thought! :four:

It's been a while since I've done this mod. I did a lot of test fitting. My seats are power and I centered the range of motion up/down and front to back while fitting everything. That way it could be adjusted somewhat to another driver if that need ever arose.

I did a lap joint weld and bolted on top of carpet with reinforcing plates under the floor similar to the factory except bigger plates.

I just got caught up on your thread, I hope your holidays are going well !!

Love the photos, the Christmas Card is one of my faves of your truck.
The young lady in the bed is a fantastic photo, and I think the photographer nailed it with the red of the Coke.
It stands out and draws you from the big red carrier, to the tats on her arm, to the bottle and to the lip stick; and framed by the tail lights.
In all that classic orange, I just think its cool.

As some of y'all have seen on Facebook I'm back on the fence of selling it. After 3 years of carshows I've learned that car shows are not fun to sit all day any more.

I'm thinking if I did list it I would ask 50K and if I put it on eBay I would list at 55K

Good luck with the sale if you decide to. I know what you mean about sitting around all day at a show. I've had nice cars\trucks but now I build to enjoy . My current build will be nice but I'm gonna beat on it with a smile.
