Re: project pacific wonder
wow for a daily dirver its really nice! but i have a question. (newbie question) what's the deal with the grounding system? is it necessary?
|
Re: project pacific wonder
no it is not necessary it is usually used in other hot rods that dont have metal body panels but having to chase bad grounds on all of my old vehicles has been an uneccesary hassle. this is a simple fix for a small price and it will be nice to have all the grounds easily located.

Re: project pacific wonder
Hi Chuck, the burb is looking real sharp and looks to be coming along nicely, and oh yeah before I forget, nice looking tilt steering column. You never mentioned in person that you were searching for them, but I will see if I can come up with anything for ya on the upper hatch deluxe trim clips, oh yeah nice upper deluxe trim also. I dont get over here to the projects/builds area to often, and man there sure is alot to look at and read in these threads. I also just earlier today checked in and read through Scott and his boys 69 shorty build thread, and same goes for you also, if you ever need any help with something or fresh ideas feel free to call anytime. Mel :chevy:

Re: project pacific wonder
The grounding kit is from American auto wire. I thin between 150 and 200$

Re: project pacific wonder
The steering wheel, and dash were yours too. I didn't know at the time that I needed special clips Let me know if you find any clips there are a few others looking as well
The window cranks are better than great forgot what it's like to roll a window Dow without breaking a sweat Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: project pacific wonder
Hey Chuck, what clips do you need? I have a whole box of extra clips, bolts, nuts I could look through for you.
|
Re: project pacific wonder
They would need to fit the upper trim rail and be push in type. Maybe I should just swing by this week and see

Re: project pacific wonder
I'm still trying to nail down some clips also, trying to figure out if some of the different trim options on the trucks used the same clips. You would think GM didn't use those clips on one vehicle only. I will keep looking and if you find out anything let me know.
