Re: Frankenburb
ya, the exhaust is alot lower than expected. :banghead: The problem is the full length headers. that will go away with the new frame, i'll make some adjustments so they don't hang as low.

Re: Frankenburb
Yup, as soon as I get the crossmembers designed, cut, and welded in, the next step was to go through and plate all the weld joints.
needless to say, i'm excited for when I get this thing rolling. |

Re: Frankenburb
subscribed, wish I knew someone like you when my burb was still in LA, instead I had some body shop guy try to steal my burb and it took 18 months to get it back!

Re: Frankenburb
Ya, i was about to put a hammer to the side of the suburban during my last week working on it. I'm back at school right now (so i'm taking a break, and will resume some weekend when I make it back home). anyways. here is a link to my FB page where I have been keeping mobile uploads going more consistently than this page. just haven't downloaded the images to my computer yet to upload here.
It's current state: Doors inside the cab. Hood on the roof. Front end in the back yard. A friend has started doing the smoothing/bondo work to the rear end while I finish up the rockers. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...3767.702107231 |

Since the last time I've managed to: Strip out entire interior (BTW-- I have the dash if anyone is interested) Remove the doors/windows Remove frame and sell off the pieces Get the custom frame build going. Everything has been custom made, and I don't have a lot of time to do things, so it's been a slow process. (Sorry for the ****ty phone pictures) |

Here is the completed upper and lower arms. I am prepping to cut the entire floor out, which will be the next hurdle before getting the frame in place in the body and the back-half tackled. |
