I just replaced my front fenders. I thought about patching them in but I didn't want to keep grinding and welding. Are you going to fix them or replace? I went thru classic chevy on mine and they came out ok. I am still debating or taking the new fenders and patching what I need to make the factory work. Either color you pick the truck will look bad ass!

Im going to replace mine. I have the fenders setting at the house, but haven't had time to get 2-3 days downtime to pull the front clip off yet. I ordered mine through Ecklers, so we'll see how the fit and finish is in a few weeks. The only non OEM parts on the front end will be the front fenders.

Polished the original stainless steel wiper arms and heads. Ordered the bumper guards for the front and still waiting on Unity who lost my drill bushing for the driver side spotlight.

Got all the parts together to add the throttle cable to the truck. The parts are hard to chase down. The pedal assembly was the hardest to find with all the little parts. Pics to come.

Finally got the master cam kit in from summit for the 427 BBC. Going with a comp cam high energy 268H. Choppy idle, going to sound great with some long tube headers.

Got the throttle cable assembly put on the 63 linkage this weekend. The throttle cable assembly came off my 61 parts truck, which had a 235. The 235 linkage is different than the 63 230 linkage, so I used half of each and made it work just fine. Just have to drill the firewall for the cable and mount to the dash. Pics to come.

Finally found the passenger side cast mirror arm that I was looking for off a 60 apache. I like the look of the cast iron arms much better than the repops.

Looking for a mirror head still if anybody comes across one. Should look like this. The passenger side arm was tough to find.

Ok, small project done, but wars are won by winning battles. Anyways...finally got the original Trico stainless 13" wipers and arms installed. Took quite awhile to polish out the arms and heads, lots of small pieces to catch stuff on. But they came out nice, and even though its a small difference...I prefer the 13" heads to the 12". I had to make my own wiper blades from Trico universal cut to fits. Pair of tin snips and they fit like champs. The original Trico heads are a 3 piece head and the 12" heads are one piece.

Converted to cable pull cab vents 2 years ago and never put the screens on. Got them stripped down last night and painted. Looked pretty good this am. Will have after pics tomorrow. These are the before shots. Only been able to do small projects lately due to work load. More to follow

First time I’ve seen your build thread. You’ve made a lot of nice progress. Love the idea of the lumpy 427 with the 3 speed on the column. That will definitely be a head turner. That 63 aluminum grille looks great. The 63 has always been my favorite of the 60-66 Chevy models. Little details like those wiper blades add up to make a big difference. I’m also running the 13” 3 piece type. They do cover a much nicer sweep on the glass.

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC

Thanks Mark. I have always had the 12" blades, and although I know its petty...I really like the 13" better. They look better and the extra 1" sweep doesn't hurt with single speed wipers. The body has been on wait for the last few weeks. Working two fulltime jobs and part time work where I can. I have another front end to swap out, so Im not worried about the body work there. The cab corners and rockers are the only serious work on the body now, and some final work on the hood. I think the big block and 3 sp will be different which is what I strive for. Its not that hard to think outside the box a little. I have more parts complete for the truck hen installed, but maybe it'll make finishing a little easier once the bodywork is done. Thanks for the comments.

I am also confined by work space. I do not have a garage, work mostly out of a couple of tool boxes, no compressor or heavy tools, but I make it work. The truck is also my daily driver, so Im confined to projects that I can get done over the weekends. Here are the floor vents completed.
