I also would buy one if you ever think of selling it. I do not have access to a break and have done very little metal work.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but for a while Sony head-units had an optional "wired" remote that was basically a little pod-like stem. Using one like that would do away with the need for the open glovebox door.
That is some kind of awesome!! EDIT: Here is the remote I was talking about: |
Hey you might want to check out http://www.customautosound.com and click on Hidden audio....they sell a setup that comes with radio frequency remote that works anywhere....remote will work 40ft. from your vehicle and you can hide everything wherever you want....the only downer is no cd player that would have to be figured in seperate.....Paul

nice dude if u deside to make them let us know i'll think about getting one i really don't want to cut the dash lol
|
He is going to make them. He just has to figure his cost, what he needs to charge for his time and labor. These will be coming but just may be a little while so better get your name in line. First come first served. That is the fair was of doing this. He is only making them for board members. I talked to him and he will be getting back with price later. But as I said, "He will be making these". Do you all think $60.00 plus the ride to be a fair price? I do. What do you guys think? You cut your own hole and paint. He does everthing else. His cost for just the parts is $20.00.

Also in line for one. :metal:

53BURB, send kelsfine69 a PM and ask him. He might have to make some changes. He is sending me the first one he makes and I will let everone know what I think of the quality. But I already know I will love it. I now have a stock OE am/fm restored radio in Burb now and this will also give me the old and the new. Do not want to tear up my dash. This way here you can have both. I love the idea. |
that is CLEAN!!! you wanna build me a setup like that?lol

That's sweet, will need some extra work to get a glovebox light in there though. Could almost redo it with an extra shelf above the DIN opening so you can keep the stock glovebox light and have more room in there. Of course then it would take even more time and material to make...

looks nice!

If you would like to keep your OE radio and want cd and more, and todays sound then this is the way to go. Do not cut that dash.

Me too!
I would also take one, but would have to modify for the Vintage Air install. But that is real cool. Maybe you could offer it in a two part mod, with a shorter box area for AC trucks. Or just offer templates to board members. Hat's off to you!

kelsfine69, Here are the photos of my Vintage Air glovebox. I tried to PM them to you but I guess it didn't work.
