dtlilly 02-09-2005 05:04 AM

Very few times in a lifetime will you ever be able to see an option list that complete. Very nice truck!

Longhorn Man 02-09-2005 05:57 AM

Edmond....I was thinkin the same about yours!

gabet40 02-09-2005 01:40 PM

did we already say what the needle on the speedo is for?
and what that box is for?
and the option list said shoulder belts, how do they fasten? cuz i saw that lap belt sitting next to the mysterious black box

SuperCheyanne72 02-09-2005 02:51 PM

that is sweet!!!!!!!!!!! :metal:

Swbman 02-09-2005 02:58 PM

Man, all the options you ever want in ONE truck....... :)

Longhorn Man 02-09-2005 10:35 PM

The extra needle is the speed warning. The knob to the upper left of the speedo is also part of the speed warning.
The shoulder belts are added to the standard belts. It is not a 3 piece harness like what we've seen since the late 70's. Think of taking a lap belt, and bolting it to the piller on the cab. Now add another lap belt bolted in correctly...that is how they work in these trucks.

i see. hey is there a way to tell what rear end i have by reading my options label? i gave the guy at the chevy dealer all the numbers i could find on my pumpkin and he said he couldnt make anything of em

XXL 02-10-2005 02:43 PM

His just rides awsome hands down.

I've driven this truck as well, and it is TOTALLY an awesome smooth ride. Felt like an old 70s caddy. However, I must say that I'm totally partial to my own red short/step's ride too. What can i say?

wouldnt the cargo light be missing if he requested the camper top from the dealer? or from the factory? could the dealer order this truck with the CST package, and his own camper top, and sell it without the cargo light option?

ok - andy --- whats this all about?!? you must fill me in, i'm dyin of curiousity!!!! ;) ;) ;)

;) jewels.

Longhorn Man 02-10-2005 09:04 PM

If the truck was ordered with the CST, but wanted the cargo light deleted...then there would be a COPO code or instructions on the spid label. Being that the headliner is missing too, I figure it is a super early CST. Like a late 68 build date.
They were f-in with me, TJ said he killed a longhorn, then jeff said he needed a new screen name...and that's all they posted.
I will get them back...oh yes...I will. ;)

ok - ya lost me there with all that technical jargon....
what is a COPO code?
and what is a spid label?
dont get me wrong - i totally believe you.... :D

as for the longhorn comment, i think the two of them had us all worried for a moment.... you really SHOULD get them back for *that* prank! ;)

Thats ok Andy ...get us back. Just do it in person!

Longhorn Man 02-11-2005 09:12 AM

Jeff...count on it bud. ;)

Jewels, sorry.
The SPID label is the option sheet....and COPO basicly means special order, when a customer wants something that is doable, but not your normal request. Think Taxi cabs and cop cars.

Joesjunk 02-11-2005 12:55 PM

I have a 69 CST with out a headliner and no cargo light. It must have been an early 69 thing?

Longhorn Man 02-11-2005 10:23 PM

That's all IO can come up with honestly. I did a poll on this a couple years ago when i saw Jeff's and realized these were missing...there are a few of them floating around.
