That isn't a 72 door panel, it is the correct 70/71 panel.

I could have paid for a plane ticket to buy it, the trucks price, and the gas home and still spend less then I paid for my truck and be getting a better truck. Ya thats a good price. lol

That is a great buy. A good set of tires cost more than that today. Get rid of the ugly push bar (spare) would be the first thing I would do. Welcome to the board from Western Kentucky. In fact I just bought a new set of tires for my wifes Jeep Liberty and over $600.00. Again, great buy!!!

The power steering is a nice plus. Power brakes would have been nice too. I think that I will end up putting disc brakes on it. Right now I just want to get it home and see what I am working with. I will be taking off the push bar  for sure. I will also be taking the shell off and doing something with wheels and tires. I think I will also be putting on different exhaust. I don't know what shape the current exhaust is in, but I am sure it doesn't have the sound I will be looking for. I have lots of ideas, but I want to just get it back on the road first. From there I can start the transformation into something that will turn heads.

If you would have told me, when I was in middle or high school, that I would one day own this truck, I would have told you that your crazy. :) Now I am counting down the hours till I get it home. It just goes to show you how your taste changes as you get older. I am sure that the accessories didn't help my opinion at the time, but at that time I couldn't picture the truck without them.

I have always heard that trucks that have a camper cover on them for the life of the truck have rust free beds. I guess this one could prove this theory out huh? How is it?

I will let you know about the bed when I get it home for inspection.

Put some wide tires on it and start lighting them up! Take a picture and post it!

Very cool truck and an awesome deal! :metal: The interior looks exactly like the interior in my truck 'cept mine has the custom cloth/vinyl seat.

Okay, yesterday I was in the same town as the truck. (My company has a location in the same town) I gave a check for the truck and got the title signed over to me and got the keys. I wanted to make sure it couldn't be pulled out from under me. Still looking at Saturday to get it home.
