Re: Woo-Hoo!!! check this out 1972 K-20 project
We can talk,I don`t think I`d be able to get it to the show because of not having a good hauler together at the moment. But,I could get it to Georgia sometime if he ends up wanting it.I have some photos I can mail.Need to get a digital, just been in the hole here lately(a long lately).
I think that`s cool we both ended up with Medium Blue/White`72 K/20s in good unrestored condition after a body swap.Mine looks like a Super except the badges. |

this weekend i bought some used mud grippers for the front for temperary then i'll use them on one of my other trucks later they're smaller than the rears but they look better than the original splits i also put some temp. hubcaps to get a feel of what it will look like and wow I'm in love I've been dreaming of having a truck like this for several years. this is like a sickness now i want another i dont know what im going to do? i have'nt even gotten this one done yet:crazy: Mike

Re: Woo-Hoo!!! check this out 1972 K-20 project
Nice buildup.Someday I am going to(although I already want too) buy/build a K20 just to use as a work horse, tow a trailer, haul wood, ect.I like the fact you are keeping this truck original looking down to the stock wheels and I like the hooks. The 2wd donor was a clean truck too.I am in the same situation you were.I am using a 2wd cab on a 4wd chassis in place of the long gone original 4wd cab.Was it fairly easy to cut the hole for the large hump.Did you just cut a hole to clear the shifter or did you cut it to so it would be like a original high hump cab(Full size hole)? Are you using clips acting as a nut to hold the bolts that bolt the hump down or did you weld some nuts on the bottom of the floor.
Sorry for all the questions... Dustin |

Re: Woo-Hoo!!! check this out 1972 K-20 project
Have you checked into 255/85s?That`s what I run on my`92 K3500SRW work truck.I have a set of stock wheels I bought new and had powdercoated white that I want to run 255/85s on.

Re: Woo-Hoo!!! check this out 1972 K-20 project
I think it looks awesome with stock steel wheels and narrow mudgrips. You can get tubeless 7.5-16LT mudgrip tires, only thing is they're bias ply so the ride will be rough. http://www.stausaonline.com/light-tr...r-traxion.html
