Can you make them without the holes for the wiper shafts ? as I am doing a right hand drive conversion which is mirror image, so I could make my own holes

we don't plan on making them at all. Another company came out with the factory style cowl which was to be the part that made this possible. It won't serve anyone to have duplicate tools on that part.

I thought there was already a new replacement style short wheel base floor already out and had been for a year or 2. Trevor

So they make an aftermarket metal smooth cowl? Can you point me in that direction.

Working on it. Taiwan actually resent the designs this morning to ask which variants to pursue.

I've asked that they not put the nozzle holes in it for now because I haven't found one that shoots at the correct angle/pattern yet.

Jon - can I have this one??? :D

Ok, so no one makes the smooth one in metal still. Gotcha.

It's hard to believe there is a market for the stock replacement ones when you can find good originals for next to nothing.....

Whats even more hard to believe is that this makes it not worth making a smooth cowl.

This is a case where the smooth custom part would sell more than the stock one it was based on.It`s bass akwards.I agree.what ever goes wrong with a cowl cover?

I would think a smoothie cowl would sell enough to justify making them. I've smoothed one myself and it is no fun and very time consuming. You need welding skills and bodywork skills which most do not have. Perhaps these repro cowls will sell better in the future when the supply of good used cowls starts to disappear?

Anyone have a how to, or pics of them smoothing their cowl. I was looking at it last night and it seemed way more difficult then i thought, especially when keeping the wiper arms...

Me like smooth cowl---want cowl when available. Please let us know the date, when you can.

Re: TRI-PRO smooth wiper cowl !!!

what members could do is send the info to Southern Kentucky Classics to see if there's a modification they can do on their part to supply the smooth cowl

How much would you all pay for a smooth cowl cover?Considering the labor saved, would it be worth a good bit more than a stock one?

Too produce it would/should be cheaper than the stock one as no tooling required to cut and form the grill

that's all part of the draw die....the wiper holes, screw holes and antenna holes would be laser operations after stamping

I think these would sell like hotcakes. I would pay at most $200ish for one. I would prefer the wiper holes but no antena hole. I also would have to wait and see how well they fit.

Look what i started. ahaha. I was basically asking because i was going to smooth mine. I was looking for a how to with some pics... Stumbled across this thread.

Anyone have a link to a how to, or some tips. You have to remove alot of metal and i have a feeling it would just fall apart....
