Man - how did we let that nice truck leave our wonderful State? Congratulations on your purchase and also on supporting the board(subscription) when it looks like you won't have to buy anything for your new ride.

What city did it come from and was the seller a board member? Post the auction link if you would please.

I hope the time goes fast so you can enjoy your new ride this summer - Bob

Sweet truck. Looks great.

May I offer two pieces of advice before it's shipped cross country? First, make sure the fuel tank is almost empty. I had an Elky shipped cross country without ensuring that and by the time it got home the entire engine was filled with fuel (cylinders, crankcase, etc) causing me lots of grief. Second, were it me, I wouldn't use a commercial carrier again either because of the lack of special attention required for antique vehicles in general, and "my baby" in particular. Many have used these carriers with great results, 'guess I was just unlucky. You didn't mention your shipping method, but regardless, I hope your gem arrives safe and sound. It sure deserves it based on the pics.

Congratulations!

very nice truck, welcome from Central PA...

I'd do the drop, change steering wheels and hit the cruising circuit...

Thank you. The shipper has been dealing with this classic car dealer for 15 years (dont know the name) but they to insure everything. Thansk for the advise. Also do you think the price paid for the truck is good>?

lots of 2WD guys switch to 5 lug so they have more options with aftermarket rims. I think the price was good for how clean and original that truck looks. It would be twice that at Carlisle if it was for sale...

What did it cost to ship, $1,000?

$1200.00 to ship.

Correct me if Im wrong...Dont I now have the same 6 lug as late model GMC/CHEVY trucks? I have a 2004 GMC Denali Sierra truck with 24inch wheels 6 lug...I think that any wheels that would fit bolt wise would work on both trucks, right??:new:

I think they are all the same bolt pattern but not sure the back space will work...

Congratulations on your truck. I love the two tone colors. Teal and ivory, nice. By the pictures, I would say it's a great deal. You did great.
Welcome to the boards. Glad to see you have donated. :)

Congrats on you new ride.

Re: Just bought my new toy!!! 1st time here.

The backspacing is different IIRC but the big problem is the center hole is smaller in the newer wheels and will not fit over the center of the hubs.
