I made a call tonight..... just waiting to hear back from him. Boardmember MeanGreen70 has the BBC/Dropmember C10 set-up & I can measure off of his stuff if he will be available.

If you buy it now you can have it in before the cedit card statement comes and you won't feel so bad. You just go out to the garge and feel better.

I live in a cash only world so that's not the issue.

My current 'fabricated' big-block accessory set-up works within the stock frame rails & w/stock steering linkage. It was low cost (owner modified steel brackets) & it's functional. I was considering the C4 Dropmember (to help offset the BBC's weight); but one that use's a custom manual R&P (C4 R&P's are power only).

What I don't want to happen is that I purchase a $1K+ Dropmember set up for a custom R&P only to find it won't work w/my current accessory layout which causes me to have to use a different accessory set-up (most likely FrontRunner or TruTrac ++$$)..... which means power steering..... which means another custom R&P (for power steering).

Add up the cost involved & it escalates quickly..... real quick. So, it would be wise for me to verify everything will co-exist prior to purchase.

Is there that big a weight savings with the C4? I'm asking cause I don't know and I like truck parts on trucks.
Scoti do you have pics of your set-up?

From reading the threads, there was about a 10lb difference in the Dropmembers themselves (my guess: because the way the lower control arms mount are different C10 vs. C4).

The biggest difference is the alum control arms (I would bet that all 4 Vette arms equal close to one lower steel C10 arm) & the aluminum spindles.

Difference between a steel head SBC & an aluminum head BBC = 150lbs????

You are absolutely killing me! You are by far the hardest working guy I know so for the love of God why don’t you reward yourself with something like this or a TruTrac?

You know with all the dropmembers, backhalves and complete frames that Nathan and Dino are bringing to Dallas for Goodguys I was thinking maybe we could all pitch in and give them a few green backs to help on that gas bill.....it's almost a 16 hour drive one way..... So what do ya'll think? if you have any more ideals please PM me.....

Hey Dino might have called shotgun already, but since I'm going to be stuck in the back seat, sitting, bit@#, there's no way I'm pitching in for gas. I'll probably be stuck with the job of cleaning the windshield, and pumping the gas to cover my ride there, and back hopefully.

Now we are bringing two trucks. I am going to tow the greenmonster. Plenty of room for drop members

Man, I wish I had the money right now, but it's going to have to wait until Income tax time. Hopefully I'll be able to make the show and at least get to meet some more members, and maybe even talk Dino into giving me a test ride in the Green Monster.

Dang . . .... Nathan, Dino, & Clint all coming to Bid D. It's gonna look like the Beverly Hillbillies all loaded up w/Dropmembers & Doritos. Which one of you is Ellie Mae?

I guess I'll schedule some time to wash my 74 so it doesn't look so bad for the visitors.

Oct 5-7 @Texas Motor Speedway. ~3,000 of the sweetest rides you'll ever see. Half of the good stuff is in the parking lot...

Someone has to shuttle me around while I consume frothy beverages :) . A yellow blazer would be acceptable.

Since then word has gotten around that I will be be there, and now I have several Dropmember orders to bring along as well. If you've been waiting to purchase one, nows your chance to save $150 on shipping. There's still room in the trailer.

There's plenty of room in the shop truck. :phat:

I'll be following Nathan in his corporate vehicle. He used it to pick me up at the airport, in style no doubt. There's going to be plenty of room in there to cruise the show.

Wonder if Nate could sneak me in so I don't have to park outside; maybe for that DM delivery?

I would be more than willing to throw an after party at my place. I could provide the meat and cold beer.

I am in Allen

Heck.... There's usually a party right there in the parking lot.

N2Billet, that's where we should get everyone to meet. We could do Sat after the show. There's already several that are coming into town, the parking lot is big, & there's plenty of stuff to look @ (not including the idiots on golf carts  ).

People could enjoy the show & then meet up @ the Stoked Out 'hospitality suite'. They would need to supply their own chairs & stuff. Anyhooo.... just an idea 'cause it's not my trailer.
