Last year I bought a 350 for and guy that had it in a one ton Chevy box van that got totaled. He had bought it as a crate from GM. It had maybe 10,000 miles on it. He wasnt sure. He also gave me 3 sets of double humps heads...2 400 turbo trannys and alot of extra parts. He asked 300.00 for all of it. I gave him 300...didnt even try to talk him down.

I'd say between $2-300, less if you're frugal, more if you buy "the best". It just depends on where you get the stuff from(i.e. brackets from a u-pull-it yard versus new, headers versus manifolds, cheap chrome air filter or a fancier aluminum one, you get the idea) and again, what you are trying to accomplish.
