Looks good but I have a question for ya. I have a 63 GMC SWB for my wife but the dash in hers only has the one bump not two like yours. Is it just a GMC thing or is your cab a 60-62?

60-63 chevy has the two hump, GMC 60-66 are all the same like the 64-66 chevy. But the Gmc dashes are a little different from the 64-66 chevy dashes.

Welded a mounting couple nuts to this bbc power steering canister.

Also dilled the side of it and welded a bolt in so I could install a return line.
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...0c10/tank2.jpg
Used 1 existing holed and drilled the lower hole.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm trying to do this with as many parts from around the house as possible. That has been laying around in a box for about 5 yrs.

i think that is so cool. I have thrown or given away so many parts over the years due to lack of room, sure wish I had them now:devil:

How'd they turn out ?

Poorboy, your truck is coming along good man...great use of parts, and mock-up.

Re: My build 63 short fleet

Thanks Chief. I hate throwing stuff away so it usually goes in the rafters or the shed out back or I donate them to someone else's project. When I got all the part together for the truck the leftovers are going to JohnnyG for his new project. He has some good ideas.

I painted the das and gauges today. I disassembled the gauges and painted the inside grey to match the seat. I have another set I will use that are not faded and have all te needles. I just used these to see how it would look. Also going to use a different clear plastic as this one has some spots on it.

Great job! I like what you've done so far. I can't wait to see it finished. After seeing your truck, I am thinking of putting my truck back together and just drive it like it is.

Thanks! I like the way it looks for now. Eventually it will get based with a dark midnight blue and a white top. I can't wait to drive it.
