Re: Got a fix for the Coys on our trucks
OK got the new screw info for the center caps with the spacers.
Mine are #10-32 x 3/4" Flat head Stainless Steel. Check yours with a nut to verify the thread size but they should be all the same. Thanks FATBOY |

Did I miss it? Is fatboy69, or someone else going to make a batch to sale to some of us? That spacer really is a slick solution as I'd like to buy a set of Coy wheels too

Re: Got a fix for the Coys on our trucks
The original poster (fatboy69) was well with-in the rules by offering the cad drawings, but this post has taken a turn. Then several subscribing members have asked to have these spacers produced for them? You guys are not only turning this into a "For Sale" & "WTB" ...but you are looking to put him into vendor status too?
How is anyone supposed to follow the rules with this kind of thing? |

But, the original post was his solution to solve a dilemma several others have faced. He sent the program files to those that can do something w/them but others may not have that opportunity. He mentioned possibly being able to help those that don't have the means & we have let him know there's interest. No prices have been mentioned. No contract of sales made. From what I see, he's only trying to see how many of these need to be made to help some fellow board members & is not in it to pad his pocket. I can understand paying a fee for selling items when you're trying to make money. So far, all I've seen is one guy offering to help others & we've offered to cover his expense to do so. BTW, how does the board classify when a person selling an item/s falls into the 'vendor' category (for future reference)? |
Re: Got a fix for the Coys on our trucks
No rules broken as long as he gets them made for free...

That being said, this is just my interpretation. Also, I did not say that the OP was violating anything (I specifically said he was not) but that it becomes difficult to follow the rules when other members "suggest/request" something that is against them. |
Re: Got a fix for the Coys on our trucks
a vendor is anyone selling more then leftovers from a project. ie if you buy 20 trucks and use a few parts and decide to post the rest, your a vendor. If you take orders for something and sell them at a cost, your a vendor. It is common sense and I am not trying to come across rude :) just explaining. As soon as you post that you are getting a price for something and taking orders, your doing more then selling extras and need to pay vendor fees.
If ya'll have any further questions, feel free to PM Longhair Josh or myself at anytime |
Re: Got a fix for the Coys on our trucks
Fatboys69, please PM me the file info so there's no worry about breaking any rules.
|
Re: Got a fix for the Coys on our trucks
I have no problem paying the vendors fee, seems that this has gotten out of hand a little bit. I will abide by the rules of the board and pay the fee. I am working on pricing and will make a decision today as to what I am going to do. I will still send the cad file to anyone who would like it. To me it's all about helping each other out.
Thanks FATBOYS69 |
Re: Got a fix for the Coys on our trucks
Once you get a price worked out let me know.
|
Re: Got a fix for the Coys on our trucks
Sorry,
Didn't mean to get fatboy in trouble::dohh: He didn't offer, I asked.... Don't know how else to do it. I'm sure he can factor in a "vendor" fee if necessary. Seems kind of a gray area as he's just trying to help out, not start a business. But I can see how it's not much different than getting rid of a part either:confused: |
Re: Got a fix for the Coys on our trucks
OK,
after looking at the cost to laser out, plus material costs for the spacers for the center caps. I feel the cost would be to high to try and sell them ( my cost would be $90 per set of 4 ) So I will send the cad file to anyone who wants it. Sorry, it just doesn't seem cost worthy to try and make them and sell them. FATBOYS69 |
