Haha, I noticed the same thing, it's like the guy on Tool Time (can't think of his name) where you can never see anything more than his eyes, except this time it's the opposite end.

On another note, glad the brakes worked out for you, I just finished completely redoing all of mine come to find out one of the lines is jammed.... oh well, just another project before I get to drive it.

:agree:

I'd definetly be interested in how the column shift worked for a 4 speed as well. My truck originally had a three on the tree but was converted to a floor shifter. I've want to convert it back to column shift but I would also like to put a 4 speed in it. Any info on the 4speed column shift would be awesome since it would get me both of the things I want.

Well, I am driving it down to the junk yard later today....

to pick up a five lug rear end and front suspension from a 76 C10 to convert to disk brakes.

Well, I guess it's staying 6 lug... I got the rims for it today.

The rubber that's on them is a wee bit big.

That is a great story I wish I could find any vehicle that my dad owned from when I was a kid...

It really needs all that metal after just 10 years, did it sit in a swamp the entire time or what??

No, it had a swamp sitting inside of it.

It sat under a maple tree, that filled it with leaves... in the cowl, the rockers and all.

Then the leaves got wet, packed down and add more leaves on top.

Going to pick up this truck's new heartbeat on Saturday.

It's an 89 truck block, roller cam, 4 bolt main that's fit with a Scat forged 3.75" stroke, 5.7" inch chromo h beams, timing gear drive, SRP Forged pistons.

I am adding a set of GMPP Fast Burn heads, 1.6 ratio roller rockers a Air Gap Intake, a twin turbo pull through base plate and a Demon 800CFM cab...

Junk yard shopping for Turbo's now... the pistons are 8.5:1 compression.

Should be fun... this is without the turbos :)

That's correct. Should be fun, with a 700R4 and a Ford 9". 4.11 gears and a Detroit.

That's a great story. I wished I had a story like that behind my truck. Don't let it get away again!

Bought a cab from another board member.

It's finally here in NH
http://www.brawlerbikes.com/68chevy/41808/P1011238.jpg

Shipping the whole thing, including the inner fenders, 69 Chevy Fenders and complete truck off to Bill today or tomorrow.

Well, the old girl's loaded with a replacement cab, a set of very nice 68 Chevy front fenders, inner fenders, nice Arizona doors and a so-so radiator support. Also have an aluminum fuel cell that needs to go in the rear.

Going to Kurt's body guy, Bill. Who will evaluate what I have, figure out what's the best and swap it on. Then squirt it black and add the trim my Father loved so much.

did you get a kit with all the valves and lines or do you have to peice all of that together? are the Garett's made in the US? I was just concerned with have to replace a bad bearing or something down the road.

I am sourcing the kit, meaning that I am putting together the items.

The turbos I bought have a warranty and are NOT Chinese knockoffs.
