for the bottoms, i cut some 3" x 4" 5/32" steel squares and drilled holes through the cab and put those on the bottom side of the cab, using grade 8 bolts.

IMO, these are better than stock.

the one downside is that there's very little room between the bench seat and the door, so check your placement before you drill for the retractor part.

Therein lies the difference.

Knowing that the vehicle that the belts were removed from has never been crashed, and getting something out of a salvage yard are quite different
Although, I'd rather install new stuff.

WAY back in my misspent youth, I worked for an ambulance service; so I formed my own opinions about seat belts; new, or used.

Like you, just my .02.

Hey everybody's opinion matters. I am not liking all this talk about little clearance between the door and bench seat. I need to go measure. I have matching holes in the cab pillars behind the seat on either side, are these for shoulder belts?

Has anyone bought the seat belts from www.gemstreetrods.com? I was looking at some from brothers but that are a lot more then this place sells them for. Was looking for something I could just bolt up and not have to modify anything.
