Re: New guy with truck

From what I can see, it looks like a 3.50 open diff 9", The locker or track lock has a L between the numbers in the lower left. Don't know the year.

Put on front clip to see how it would look on, have to put in motor and tranny to see how far down it going to look? Well back to work.

Chuck, 57? why???

Re: New guy with truck

The front fenders are 57 because they have those little "dents" with the hole in it on each side of the grill opening. They've prob been changed sometime along the way, are the first 2 numbers on your serial number tag on the windshield post 56 or 57...? By the way, nice job on the frame!

Re: New guy with truck

fenders are 57 the upper and lower grill suport is 55-56.

Well after thinking it over with my son for a week or so, we are starting over with or 56 truck build. We are going with or first plan. We got or 1994 Buick roadmaster and we plan on using most all of it, LT1 Motor, tranny, posi rearend with air, complete wire harness, gas tank, AC & heater, steering cullom and electric front seats. I no this will be a big challenge for us especially being our first build ever!!! We are hope to be able to drive this classic truck every day with all the comforts of today.

I used to work in Palmdale at Plant 42 Site 4. Now I'm at Edwards AFB. Your truck looks really familiar and I'm wondering if it was the same one that used to belong to a guy I used to work with in Palmdale. His name was Matt Holloway. This would be really weird if that's the same truck. He got it from a relative (father in law?) and had big plans for it, but started a family and had no room to keep it.
