Re: Pacific Coast Customs Shop Truck
The dash in the truck is going to be very minimal. There's going to be one gauge cluster out of a '50 Ford in the center of the dash aimed at the driver slightly. The dash we built curves out away from the driver and actually opens up the cabin quite a bit. Still one side to roll and weld in though. The steering wheel is out of a '54 Bel Aire and we're going to modify the stock 3 on the tree column from the Bel Aire to be a automatic column shift for the turbo 350 going in the truck.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...s/IMG_0961.jpg A friend of mine who's going to do all of the paintwork on the truck painted one of the door logos. The whole thing was hand painted with a brush and I think it turned out awesome. These photos are before we patina'ed it. http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...s/IMG_0917.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...s/IMG_0921.jpg The car painted on the door is actually my other car we competed for AMBR with this past January http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1.../sidegreat.jpg |

Re: Pacific Coast Customs Shop Truck
That is TOO cool. I like the way the dash came out, and the steering wheel really complements the direction of the build.

Re: Pacific Coast Customs Shop Truck
Very cool concept! Great attention to detail on the frame and tube work. I am just over the hill in Winters and might have to swing by one of these days I am just driving around the area.

Re: Pacific Coast Customs Shop Truck
That truck was the first ground up vehicle I've ever built. I started on it when I was 19 and finished before I turned 21. It's my baby, we've actually been driving it quite a bit this year. Theres still two more indoor shows to take it to and then we'll be driving it more.

Re: Pacific Coast Customs Shop Truck
Here's a couple of my other baby! This one means alot to me as I've had this one since high school and used to drive it to school and racked up over 3000 miles in bare metal and bare wood before finishing!

Re: Pacific Coast Customs Shop Truck
Back on track with the Shop Truck, Here's some shots of the rear suspension finished up. If you look closely you can see the round tubes added under the cab, there's a few more stuffed under there but I must not have gotten a picture before we put the cab back on.
