i have looked for a moulded plastic version but cant find one.

I know someone on here was making them at one time or they were in the process. Tri-Pro maybe? There are posts on here somewhere about it...

My Old Air kit came with a plastic one. Maybe someone could call them and see if they sell them separately. Just an FYI, the factory glove box light won't work with the Old Air plastic one though.

i have changed out 2 different trucks & i resin coated both with good results.....just use fiberglass resin with hardener & coat the inside & outside....works very well...

Mine is also plastic, it came with the "Vintage Air" AC kit. But its quite shallow compared to the original.

I would think if you had an old liner you could use it as a template. Aren't the paperboard ones basically all one piece and then stapled at the top? I have been holding on to my old ratty liner with hopes of making a metal one. Can you just pop the staples, unfold it onto a piece of sheet metal, mark your lines and start bending? That sounds way too easy but maybe that is it.
