Could do blue dash and white gauges?Or fully custom make the dash out of fiberglass your wallet is the only limit on what you can do.Are those the stock inside door handles?

Hey big10 with the box you could go with a shallow sub probox thats what i have in my 83' and it works great, but then again i cant set my seat all the way back but its only up one notch so all i really lost was about an inch but its all up to you and what you like and also for the interior parts have you looked at the billlet bezels and everything from LMC im thinking maybe they might go with the flow of the truck but then again i dont know its up to you.

I was thinking about fully custom dash but I still want a factory look, the door handles are stock 81-87, and the window cranks are summit brand

Nothing against your dad wood working ability, but the wood trim really doesn't fit the interior at all. Maybe if you stained it jet black and the proper grain pattern showed through, but I think it would be very hard to pull off and make it match the rest of the truck.

For the speaker box, I'd ditch the shelf speakers (obviously) and just fit the subs and amps inside the box and use the kick panels as your mids and plant the tweeters in the dash corners. Maybe you could make a pod for them coming from the a-pillar.

If you're in the mood for new equipment, I may have a box you can use...

EDIT: I just thought of this, what if you could figure out a way to make the wood grain into flames...? how bad ass would that be...?

acex,
do you have any pics of the set up you are talking about?

Heres a pick of what the box in my truck looks very similar to i cant get a picture of mine because the seat in my truck is a rear seat out of a suburban so it doesnt lift up but the box is for shallow 10 inch subs. Ok then man yea it looks good like that.

Re: Interior help

I finally made up my mind on the interior, get someone to cover the dash in blue Naugahyde or do it myself, paint the sheet metal pieces white to match the door panels and also the bezel, cover my steering wheel in blue, and for the sub box it's going be from seat belt to seat belts, it's going to be kinda flat for the center console/seat covered in blue and white
