Pull off the oil pan.
Measure how far any piston moves from tdc to bdc.
350 is 3.48.
327 is 3.25.

The crankshaft will have a casting No.on the front throw. Look this No. up on MORTEC or Nasty Z 2/8 sites. Unless you have a head off it would be hard to check stroke length.

The stroke of the crankshaft is the difference in a 4" block being a 302, 327 or 350.

The numbers on the front of the block just in front of the head may give better information on what was the original cubic inch of the block/engine.

The numbers on the back of the block 010, etc. etc was all I ever looked for in the next project.

As scott123 said, see if there are any numbers stamped on a small pad on the block surface at the front of the passenger side head. If they're still there they'll tell what the displacement and original engine application was.

As others have said, yes the 0010 block can be desirable and it builds a nice small block street motor if it's the high nickel block. (010 / 020 behind the timing gear set. You'd have to have the upper timing gear off to be able to see it) I've had both, 2 and 4 bolt variations. Not a bad motor at all, but the pad in front of the passenger head will tell you what it is. Of course if it has been decked and/or possibly rebuilt sometime in the past theres a chance that stamp will be gone.
