I thought that was the American State Bank building. A friend of mine's wife is a nurse for the pediatrician across the street. I moved away in 1996, but it still looks the same.

I'm really thinking that when I get it re painted I want to leave the top color but go white down the center.

wow. thats the best deal i've seen in a long long time. its hard to get a running square body for $1200 around here let alone one in that great of shape. nice find ;)

that color combo is a bit odd.. I dont recall seeing another truck like that... they used to do white in the center most of the time or they would run that top color in the center and use a fire engine kinda red on the top and bottom.. i like that truck tho... my first impala was the same color as the top of yours

Ya i thought the color was kind of unique thats where I'm fighting myself on the color, I don't even have the money for the paint and body yet but I'm already fighting in my head:haha::crazy:

ya I'm going to start in on sticker removal tomorrow as well as waxing it but I'll also be working on the 79 and getting the 83 put back together a bit since someone is supposed to be coming after it next week. I'll be happy to get that rust heap out of the lawn now that I have my new truck with the very little rust it has. once I sell it I may have the money to get the body work started on my 78.

Will do. Thanks for the complements everyone. I think I may have tracked down a BRAND SPANKING NEW chrome rear bumper to replace the ugly stock white one that is on there now. Guy was rear ended and the insurance company paid for a new bumper and they took it off as soon as they got it back home and put on a different bumper. (I think it was a mud truck).
