What's weird about this idea, is that I remember when the '59's were new. I was younger, but I learned to drive on a '59 Ford, which I later drove to/from Biloxi, MS when I was in the USAF. Those cars seemed to be about 8-ft wide when you're driving them on roads back then, so it struck me as odd that they didn't have to cut the dash down, but widen it to fit into our trucks.
There's a guy near me who has a '68, that he put a '59 Edsel dash in. It's the same as a '59 Ford. Here's a pic. Oh, he had to widen it, too. Personally, I prefer the '59-60 Chevy dash, although the '57, and the 61-64 would look good. One issue with the cars that had the dog-leg design door openings (55-60), is the ends of the dashes protrude into the door area. It is part of the dash, so keeping it means you would have to cut it off, finish the edge and decide whether or not to incorporate it into the door panel sheet metal. |

Looks nice, Alan. I've had 3 '65's, so they're near to my heart.
