As the others mentioned, be sure to grab all of the hardware and fasteners. Sounds like a great deal...and your idea of mocking it up on a spare engine is perfect. post some photos.

Here's a photo of my March system I cobbled together and modified to fit on my Pontiac...it was free, but it took a lot of effort and machining to work.

Went and grabbed the stuff from the junkyard this morning. The guys pulled everything off the front of the motor except the a/c compressor. I got the a/c delete from autozone last night, so hopefully this weekend I'll have some pics on here of how I get it all together and any issues I run into.

Re: To Serp or not to Serp???

I had to go back to work after my spin to the junkyard this morning, but I am itching to see how this sys will go together on the block at home. I did notice that all of the bolts etc on the s-10 were Metric, so it should be fun when and if I have to take stuff off the motor. Luckily I am european and normal numbers (metric) are what I am used to. I'll never forget being asked to machine something to x thousands of an inch. SAY WHAT????? Lol
The micrometer scale was tricky enough to work with.
Anyways, back to the job at hand......
Any tips on the alt setup? I haven't got to look at the wire setup but I asked the guys to cut off the pigtail when they took off the alt.
