Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
Oh yah, and apologies for the digression from the 19s to the 19.5s. Seems like people will casually refer to the 19.5s as "19s". Bad assumption on my part. I'm sure it will turn out sharp no matter which way you go based on the work you've done so far.

As said, I plan to run 245/70s on my K30. I only have the stock 3-leaf front pack though, plus a Rancho add-a-leaf (supposed to raise 1-1.5"). Hopefully they won't rub too bad. Thoughts? Thanks, Joe P.S. - As far as the confusion regarding the OP and his lowered dually, the fact that it is lowered was never mentioned anywhere in the original post. As said, many refer to 19.5s as 19s. Sorry for the confusion, was just trying to help... Posted via Mobile Device |

2" Bell spindles and 2" lower springs up front, shackles and smaller pack in the rear. Truck rides fine. I've driven it every day since last July. Prior owner did the same for nearly a year before that. It was a street trucks magazine tech article project.

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
anyone know the specs on the 245/70/19.5 vs 225/70? I seem to be able to find all the specs for the smaller size tires but not those. I need to know how tall they are. I talked to a gm guy who runs them on two of his 1 tons, he's got 8r19.5s, but they look like steer tires, not what I want. Real tall, but ultra skinny with no discernable tread. Wont work on a 4wd that I want to be able to hunt and plow with. I'll be looking for 6 drive tires.
Anyway, I am guessing the 245 will be at least 33". I've got room for 35-36 at least. Anything smaller than 33 is going to look too small imo. |

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
Thanks thats just what I was looking for. Def want to go with the 33s, I already have 31s and they're too small for a lifted truck. Plus the big wheel will make the smaller tire look even smaller. I know some (a lot!) of you guys like the look of a big rim and a tiny sidewall, but it's not for me.

Me personally.... I feel 4" minimum sidewall height is needed to survive our well kept roads. |

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
So I thought I had my mind made up with my wheel choice but now I am wondering if the classic hole pattern would be cool too!!
What do you guys think? http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i4...c/a3e48b2b.png http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i4...c/bcecac00.png Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
I'm not a fan of the 'classics'. The holes are scaled too small for the wheel mass (it's also what I dislike about my 16" classics).

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
Check out American Force Wheels. They make some of the sweetest dually wheels ive ever seen.

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
First ones between the two.

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
Is there such a thing as a 30" tall 19.5" tire? Just wondering??

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
i thought about the classics but I was going to have trevor make the holes larger, just don't think its worth the extra $200 wheel. Why doesn't anyone make 20" dually wheels?

OR how have the tire companies NOT caught onto the trend- and make better 19.5 and 22.5" tires???? But I agree- 20" dually rims would rock! |
