I got ride of my fresh air vents and closed them up separately then I installed kick panels in front with speakers. Going further, as I didn't need fresh air in the cab, I close in my cowl vent next to the hood and windshield.

SO the biggest complaint I hear about the old air is the heat sucks! Can any one elaborate?

Re: Vintage air? Who has it in their truck
Ive used 3 VA units one in my wife's 28 Moldel A, one in my wife's 55 Chevy 2dr post, and one in my 66 GMC. All of them fit and worked. The 66 GMC was complete, nothing else to buy. Well come to think of it so were the other two. They all work just as they should. VA customer support is great. Have never had any problem with the product or the provider.

Re: Vintage air? Who has it in their truck
Got VA love it, my install was a little unique, I've got a cummins in my truck, and my truck is a GMC so the dash is different.
The only complaint I have is that on really hot days the duct work sweats some and drips in the cab. This could be the result of hot air influx through the firewall, I haven't fig it out yet Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Vintage air? Who has it in their truck
I've heard guys say that nobody reproduces them. I'd like one myself so rather than paying 3 times the price, I'm gonna look into making something similar when I get around to putting in my VA setup. It's gonna be a while though ...
