Re: pics of cut rear coils
we are all telling you not to do it because at some point and time its been tried by ppl and provin unsafe and the ppl on this forum are trying to help you out from making a mistake and getting hurt yes you could build a bracket and secure it down but how secure would it be all i can say is its your truck and your choice to do what you want but you should take the advise from fellow board members and do it the right and safe way or be prepared to hear alot of i told you so's from everyone and you probably wont find anyone on here that will show you how to make your truck unsafe

Re: pics of cut rear coils
When I was young and stupid, I did this. My uncle's ( both oldschool hotrodders) told me I was a moron. But I ignored them. Cause I knew it all! Not only did it ride like a buckboard wagon, it was brutally dangerous and I looked like an idiot whenever I hit the smallest bump. I can remember going across intersections and I was sure the rear end lifted clear off the ground, and when it landed it would kick me me sideways however it felt like. It lasted like that for a week and then I bought proper drop coils.

Why go thru all that brain surgery when you can get a set of six inch lowering springs for just about $100.00 and in less than one hour you could have them installed and done. I doubt that you are going to get pictures of cut rear springs that were installed.. |
