Can anyone identify what makes a 73/74 cab different than the 75+ ? :)

Drain holes?

73-74 thread guys...keep that post 74 junk out of here ;)

So far nobody has noticed the differences between the earlier cabs....it is pretty obvious, look inside the cab

I was going to say the front hood release, until you said cab
Is it the vin plate on the door instead of the dash?

I painted the cluster housing gloss white and then got the LEDS from v-leds.com

I got these to be exact

I also painted the back of the metal cover white as well so it reflects well....I love it

Re: 73-74 show off

Here's my 74. Just had my new 4 row radiator put in last week, along with the radiator bracket that I cleaned up and painted that I got at the pick a part. Also that VERY clean and chip and mark free shroud was also found at the pick a part. Just needed a good cleaning and degreasing. The grille also scored at the pick a part thats in perfect shape, no marks at all, just needed cleaning as well and I painted it silver and the 350 emblem cleaned and painted. The bowtie I just scored last week, a NOS one i will bolt on both of them very soon.

Those are in there. They are usually covered with caps. The wiper switch location is different.

Nope, my 73 has the provision to install shoulder belts...it is just plugged and the pillar trim does not have a hole from the factory.

Keep trying... ;)

OK, the switch is unique, forgot about that...but I am thinking about the other difference.

It is in the sheetmetal guys....

the sheet metal isnt recycled like mine! ugh stupid rust

Re: 73-74 show off

73-75 has different doors. 73 had optional drip rails. they didnt have the pins on the cab to keep the hood from going through the windsheild right? i cant think of anything else

bigblock73 11-16-2012 04:11 PM

Re: 73-74 show off

OK, here it goes...

73/74 trucks have smooth sheetmetal directly below the rear window...later models have recessed "ribs"...that look like crap IMO.

:)

Re: 73-74 show off
